In Loving Memory - World of Warcraft Classic

Hello my friends,
World of Warcraft Classic is nearing it’s very end (kindly ignore Classic era realms) and I thought, what better way to celebrate this game than to make a video capturing it’s very essence.
A game which I loved to hate (or hated to love?!) for several months now.
Yes, this is without summons or mage portals… the way real GigaChads got the world buffs.
If you enjoyed this video, share it with your friends and guild mates, so they are reminded why this game was so wholesome and enjoyable

See you at the other side of the portal.

Classic is not ending, they are just driving the herd towards Retail

@Gottlieb
well, it kind of is for the most part.
dunno how they are driving them towards retail… if people accept retail, they would play that instead of classic i would assume.
i will play tbc… maybe even wotlk (the expansion i started to play) and then just let it be ^^

getting DMF first

he deserved that gank.

yeah, i also would rather make the big brain move and collect it last, so i risk all the other buffs lmao

its easier than you think tbh.
you can boon the other buffs.
you can queue up for bg and wait for it to pop, then invis pot, get the buff and enter bg then leave.
you can get a summon and accept it as you take the buff.
you can petri flask

as long as you aren’t braindead about it you can get the dmf buff last even with alliance all around it.

my friend, this parody is about the time when chronoboon displacer did not exist.
they were introduced when the game was just about to end.
it is like a guy running a marathon but only putting shoes on during the last 10 meters.

I somehow dont understand the entrie “classic is ending” narrative, I and many others came back to play classic (vanilla) for ever (or until I lose the interest in wow and stop playing all together) regardless of TBC or any other Addon they would release

i know its a parody but having lived through the world buff meta since day one, i can assure you its still possible to be efficient with how you gather buffs. getting dmf first is a terrible choice. people see you running to DMT to get your buffs and realize you got DMF buff on you? hah get ganked.
have fun waiting another 4 hours for your DMF. i’d rather run to DMT three times because of dispellers than have to sit around online for 4 hours waiting for DMF cooldown.

of course it is possible… but who in their right mind WANTS to run DMT multiple times?
some people either don’t have the time to jump through all those hoops or are unwilling, which i can totally understand.
worldbuff meta was a horrible game feature and deserves to be remembered as such - it drained the fun to play for a lot of players, me included.
yes yes, it is not necessary to have worldbuffs for clearing naxx etc, but we all know which people will be prioritized when setting up a raid roster

can’t wait for TBC to just log on when it is time to raid, instead of having to farm half a day just to prepare for a single raid day and be buff locked with my character, which i actually want to play.
anyway, all is good now - we survived this dumpster fire lmao

there’s always someone selling DMT buffs, and most of them are willing to let you get new buffs for free in case you get dispelled.
sure its a chore to fly back and forth to get DMT buffs, but its nowhere near as bad as having to wait 4 hours for the best buff of them all.
the worst part is if you lose your DMF buff and have to wait 4 hours for it to come off cooldown, you cannot gather the other buffs as their duration will be spent by the time your DMF is off cooldown.

but yeah i agree, its nice that its over with now… also they should have added the chronoboon LONG ago. would have made the game so much less of a chore when it comes to following the meta.
