We are running low keys on alts. So new players are very welcome.
Currently, yes. But if we double the drop rates, then even our alts will have no reason to run low keys sooner rather than later, and that leaves the new player either either locked in M0, or thrown onto the deep end with champion gear from delves /m0 and 0 rating or experience in M+âŚ
And, please correct me if I´m wrong, isn´t that exactly what the whiners and Toxitards spent the last 6 montshs complaining about on these very forums⌠or did I just dream all of that?
I mean, i never had trouble getting into M+2. No matter how late in the season i started.
But again, i do not need more gear from low keys.
I am running +2-3 keys on my 640 chars just for the hero vault.

You can wonder i need something from here (i am the healer).
The best way to get into M+ is by doing M+. You donât get into M+ by some convoluted scheme of gearing. Its a journey, not a destination.
The process between M+2 and M+[whatever your limit is] is where ALL the fun resides. Its what the system is made for.
No get good⌠and you get loot.
save up runes get a crafted embellishments, learn dungeon learn mechanics and you get better loot.
The only thing they need to change is so 10+ awards 2k gold per run +1k gold for each key level increase, because game is litterally unplayable unless you use consumables flasks, because you playing the dungeon much harder level then it is without consumables.
I actually agree with OP. More Champion track loot from group content that is largely skipped by a lot of (skilled) players just simply cannot hurt.
Of course, I wouldnât make it free. I would rather use the Bountiful Coffer Keys to use as a bonus roll that guarantees a drop below +6. That way you have decide if you want free Champion from a 12 minute Delve, or a 25 minute M+.
I think thatâs a good idea. Plus in M+ your odds of getting a trinket arenât close to 100% like they are in Delves so it would make it worthwhile to get the Coffer Keys.
The more âfree gearâ you give people at lower levels, the more of them will show up to content they are not prepared for.
This drama already exists with Delves. Gear is free there, and then they hop into a +7 expecting to be a +8 Delve when its 10x as hard.
And for the record, I dont want to block ârewardsâ behind difficulty. Absolutely not. Gear is an anabler to access more difficult content, not a reward of completing difficult content.
But it has to be time-gated a bit. You need a âprogressionâ path for every dificulty tier. If the lower tiers get to skip that progression curve with âfree gearâ they will finish it too fast. So they end up in a level too hard too quickly, and therefore too frustrating for them.
And there is only 1 possible consequence of that frustration: You stop playing. Simple as that. And maybe come to the forums complaining about how M+ is not beginner friendly.
I wouldnât give low M+ keys more gear, but I would give them more crests as a season progresses to serve as a better catch-up. For example:
- Week 1: Everything as it is
- Week 2: +2 keys drop +1 Runed crest
- Week 3: +2 keys drop +2 Runed crests, +3 keys drop +1 Runed crest
- Week 4: +2 keys drop +3 Runed crests, +3 keys drop +2 Runed crests, +4 keys drop +1 Runed crest
etc up to +12, ie: - Week 12 and onward: +2 keys drop +12 Runed crests (for a total of 22), +3 keys drop +11 Runed crests (for a total of 23), +4 keys drop +10 Runed crests (for a total of 24) etc. up to +12 keys which will drop +1 Gilded crest (for a total of 21)
Is it tho? Doesnât feel like it when you go numerous in a row. Especially when targeting a certain item. Iâve done what feels like 100 priory a and no trinket
I am also taking âevery chanceâ to run extra DFC for 2 trinkets. I think farming specifics is very difficult, like trinkets. But there arenât really other slots where you want that specific. We get a lot of loot for just whatever slot. In general we should not aim for specifics, where trinkets are the exception.
my shaman is now on week 3 of trying to get some legs to catalyst think i have run like 25 instances now only running dungeons that drop mail legs.
its very dumb that they removed the CURIO from 2k achieve and gave a catalyst charge.
Agreed. Stupid change
It has a pro and a con. The catalyst charge can be used on a myth track piece. The 2k item was hero-track. So yes, for being âequalâ you need to get a hero track item to catalyse. But i am not unhappy i have a free charge on the catalyst which i can use on a higher piece.
^^ Aye.
And the con is that someone that still has champion items and no hero piece to catalyze (though that is admittedly somewhat unlikely if you´re reached 2k rating or cleared the Heroic raid, but not impossible.) basically gets no use out of it⌠Or someone that gets it late in season when they already have their full set can no longer get a PvP appearanceâŚ
like you say, pros and cons
I think going back to 3 drops per dungeon would be peak tbh
only people like you do dungeons for fun only
most play solely for gear.
its time for blizzard to overhaul the whole endgame gearing system as its clearly failing atm .
there is a good reason why you havent seen a single thread regarding toxicity in dvelves.
or people complaing baout dvelves rewards besude the ones about dvelves tirnkets being compelte total garbage - which they are with very few exceptions.

well its not completly usless even in this case - you can then quicker get full hero / mythci transmog set via catalyst and unsub earlier

People hate on Brann all the time for his behaviour.

While I´m not sure how you´re supposed to get the mythic mog faster if the whole premise was not having a heroic or mythic piece to catalyze in the first place, but the whole tangent about the catalyst charve vs token isnât really relevant to the original discussion, anyway.
