Why WoW Classic has drop rates like this. I need 8 quest items and i have to to kill like 50 mobs to get them.
that s wow vanilla drop rate i assure you vanilla had those drop rates
Could be, but that is not fun. Why does it always have to be extreme? Extremely high rate in retail and extremely low in Classic. Something in between to not drive people crazy would be ideal.
That’s Vanilla, you aren’t forced to play Classic if you don’t like it.
I for one enjoy Vanilla and all it has to offer, it’s nostalgic and i haven’t had this much fun in World Of Warcraft in a veeeeery long time.
well those drop rates allows you to appreciate the quest and not just do click and done like in retail
I mean I like Classic overall. But this is the most annoying thing in this game for me right now.
completing quests that getting you bald real quick feel more rewarding in the end
I would appreciate quest even after 30 minute grind instead of 60 minute one.
vanilla wasnt the most perfect game ever u cant ask a classic remake without accepting those details it s a whole
Because you aren’t in BFA anymore kiddo
Had to kill every crocodile in Durotar… twice, to get Kron’s Amulet. I love it. Classic is a grind and it doesn’t suit everyone.
Then don’t play it.

The drop rate is that way so you get a lot more total exp out of the completion of one quest. You’re not really questing, you’re grinding.
Stuff like that was in TBC too. For one quest in Nagrand you need to free 15 prisoners. The key drops from ogres with a 10% chance. You need 15 keys.
It’s faster in a group, as freeing a prisoner counts for the other group members too.
Oh and the dragonscale leatherworking specialization requires (amongst other things) 10 worn dragon scales, which you can get from a few dragons around lvl 45… with a 3% droprate or so.
That is the way it is. And for that we payed for.
Also if you compare it with other old school mmos this grind is nothing. its pretty casual i would say.
The drop rates are god awful but it makes just feel a huge sigh of relief when you finally complete the quest. I don’t mind it. Just go do other quests and make a bit of progress every time you pass the area on your travels.
Don’t even get me started on those freaking moonstalker claws in Darkshore.
I like it better than retail actually. Why is everyone telling me not to play Classic? Does not make sense. Just wanted some discussion about drop rates and find out whether others are also frustrated or not.
Imagine if everything had 100% drop rate, you would run out of quests instantly
Why do you care if you have to kill 50 boars for 8 tails vs if it was split on 3 quests with say 16 items to bring back across the same 50 mobs.
Has been said, will say it again.
That is exactly the experience you’re signing up for by playing Classic.
The grind is there, partially to weed out those who aren’t committed enough to get it done.
If you don’t like it, don’t play it. It is working as intended and as people who wanted vanilla revived wants it to work.
