Due to an oversight in our loot table setup, some activities—particularly elite farming, herb gathering, and mining—were unintentionally yielding far more Infinite Power than intended, which led to a small subset of characters accumulating Infinite Power well beyond our intended thresholds.
Elite farming, mining, and herb gathering are valid gameplay choices, however, we’ve made the following adjustments to restore balance to the system and ensure a healthy game economy moving forward:
Infinite Power earned from Elite enemies, mining and herb gathering has been lowered.
Characters with over 10 million Infinite Power have had their Infinite Power reduced to 10 million.
Thanks for your understanding, and as always, we appreciate your continued feedback and support.
which led to a small subset of characters accumulating Infinite Power well beyond our intended thresholds
You literally have a cap at 99, 999, 999 on Infinite Power. If around 10 million was your so called “intended threshold” then why’d you not set the cap lower.
And the whole idea of remix was to get powerful, get bronze and rewards, but all your doing in implementing caps and nerfs constantly.
i feel like 10m is a way way way to high for the cutoff. As some1 who has played everyday and done most content everyday with no farming im sitting at between 4-5m IP, done no M+ tho.
The cutoff and rollback in MoP was way more severe.
Great Blizzard, thanks for ruining Remix.
People are now running around at item level 740+ with over 300% Versatility, while the legit players are stuck between 660–700 ilvl and 30–80% Vers.
What’s even the point of playing, when everything feels useless now?
No one wants to do Mythic+ anymore because there’s no meaningful gear progression, and the few groups that do exist are gatekept by boosters. Raids have become daily chores, and after finishing all quests, even world quests don’t help you catch up to the exploiters, great job Blizzard.
The talent system going up to 9999 is absurd, how are we even supposed to reach that with the nerfs?
Just ditch it at this point and cap it at a fixed state like 100, please.
And by the way, it’s not just a “small number of people” every single raid and Mythic+ group I’ve joined has at least 1–3 boosters in it…
Sad company with no communication. They should have made a blue post a long time before stating they will work on a fix so players would stop farming it.
Im not near those numbers but it is so sad that players get punished for a bad game implementation . In the end they or we will reach the goal anyways, to become powerfull.
Yeah ok. Would you ever address the lag we have in Suramar or just ignore that “little” problem? On Argent Dawn both in Heroic or normal mode we can’t even fly over the place that we get stuck there with over a 10-20 seconds delay for abilities or any action. I had to walk into Azsuna and had to relog too 'cause the world attempts to load and we’re stuck in other zones too without npcs or enemies loading for over 5 minutes.
It’s a week already but Suramar remain impossible for many if not all to navigate, imagine even finish the questline there. It’s been a full week where I wanted to quest in there, even world quests, but instead I had to log off as soon I was over with raids runs because the game is unplayable there.
Stop ignoring this problem. You had a week full of people posting about it and report it ingame too.
I am questioning this decision as rares in the heroic world tier oneshot my level 80 620 ilvl warrior with 150% overkill damage (30m total, 12m damage taken, 18m is overkill) on melee swings and without a farm like this I don’t really see myself catching up to that in this phase.
True I also agree with that in general, but the wow community cannot handle that.
-a mage got kicked from normal dungeon because he did not have timewarp
-a warrior got kicked from normal because he was not fast enough as a lvl 20
-m+ was full of people asking for 400% vers
The community of wow needs parents to teach them basic manners, because by large they are just man-children. What they should’ve done is reduce the people that exploited it to 0, and buff the rest to 10m, so they’re way behind as a punishment.
There’s also people doing the other raids that are locked, they should be banned from the event.
In FFXIV things like this are normal and the community is superior as a result. Perhaps there are man-children but you won’t know.
What about players who have ‘Infinite Knowledge’ that doesn’t work? This means that when you use ‘Fragmented Momento’, you gain 25k infinite power instead of 100k+ when you have 26 Infinite Knowledge. Are you going to do anything about it? It’s been four days since I reported the bug and I haven’t received a single reply…
