Ingame Mail scam be wary

I’d just like to point out that there is an on going scam in game regarding your mailbox.
People send you a mail with C.O.D item that goes somthing along; “i am quiting WoW so i am sending you this gold” in the mail is a cod bag for 25g.
Be careful.I’ve reported the player in question on Gehennas but i also recived the mail on my bank char and soon people will get the same idea.

Like, yeah really why the 1 gold then? Yikes what a bad scam

The C.O.D scam is not so bad however. Not everyone is familiar with C.O.D mail and even if you are you might not notice.

You get a warning though. That should give you a clue.

Exactly in pure automotion i almost clicked it while doing my AH/mail.And while sending some stuff to my bank char i got the same mail,so it seems its kinda widespread.

It’s authentic vanilla experience, also watch out when buying Righteous orbs too, some people will put small lustrous pearl.

I haven’t gotten any CoD items as of yet. I usually purchase from AH or travel to the city in which the seller finds himself located. But I remember there being a prompt.

If you guys are falling for this I know a very generous Nigerian Prince who has just won the lottery .
