Inscribed Illimited Diamond

I put crafting orders for three Inscribed Illimited Diamonds - all of the ingredients were of the highest quality. But I got 2 that were Tier 2 instead of 3. It it a roll or was I scammed?

An inspiration proc is not needed to get a rank 3. But an Illustrious Insight might be needed.

Edit: Why did you put in a work order for 3 of them? I thought you could only equip 1.

Never go for a public order if you want things done
the only thing i do in public orders are treatise for knowledge cause i know that has no RANK

Be careful who you trust.

 :joy:

When you put in an order, there is an option (should be up left) that allows you to put minimum crafting quality. If you choose it R3 (for Jewellery), and if the scammer don’t have that ability, he simply not allowed to ruin your crafting reagents and your commission.

Legally, you allowed him to craft it that way and technically this was your deal with the scammer.

What an absolute joke.

So because I didn’t select an option he ruined thousands of gold and even took a gem for himself?

As far as i know, Blizzard does not get involved in gold/market related stuff. Unless it’s selling gold for real money.

I’d argue you are better off using public work orders for PvP gear. Because rank doesn’t matter there. It always scale up to the same ilvl PvP. And since so many people are looking for work orders to get their skill up, you can get away with a 50g commission.

A gem quality affects very little to no to your… (sorry for that  :joy: ) performance actually.

So apparantly after further talking to the guy, it’s ultimately my fault for not putting it in private orders.

I made those three gems to put them in my Lariat and I can only use of them. Can I only but in malygites etc in the other two sockets?

You can’t put minimum quality on public orders. Only personal orders. If you put a public order, you have to accept what you get from it. The crafter did nothing against the rules. He fulfilled your order.

If you want to save gold, find someone specific who’s offering the gem you need with Q2 illimited diamond at a very high proc rate for Q3. For example I have a 20% proc chance for Q3. On my server, Q2 illimited diamond is 3.5x cheaper than Q3, so that’s a lot of gold you’re saving even if you have to send multiple orders to proc it.

You can see on the gem it says “Unique-Equipped: Primalist Gem (1)”. That means you can only use on at a time. So yes, you use one primalist gem and the rest is regular gems.

What an absolute mindless gold sink I have just made here today.

It pays to pay attention.

Because it’s either Inspiration proc or the crafter has to use Insight to guarantee T3, even if she/he is fully geared and specialized. Fun and interactive isn’t it?

You trolling bro

I read it from wowhead - made no reference to this.

Says it there as well.

As far as I know, there’s always been “big” gems in every expansion that you can only use one of. Usually if it seems way better than other gems, it’s probably one of those.

Public Orders are if you want something quickly but the Rank doesn’t really matter.

If you specifically need Maximum Rank items, then you need to find a Crafting through TradeChat, even then many items will still require Recrafting to get the highest Rank item, as you’ll be relying on Inspiration Procs.

While, yes that is a way to do it. You need to be generous with your tipping if you do it that way, since crafters are now limited to 4 Public Orders, so they’re only going to pick up the best reward. People are still listing Treatise for 1s Commission and they’re getting ignored.

Best thing to do is find a crafter to use weekly.
