This point makes no sense.
In the past it was all RNG. Nowadays you can literally calculate how long it takes to get 4 set. With the catalyst. It will take x weeks or days.
You could never do that before it was released
Which can be accelerated if your RNG is great and you only need to craft 2 tier items from the Catalyst…

Heroic offers tier. Your rng luck doesnt change that.
If you dont want to spend time raiding in HC for more tier pieces, the catalyst offers that option.
Although with a delay, due to it opening + charges needed to make tier.
If you so desperately need tier, you will reach for it through all possible means.
If you arent up for that, the catalyst will literally grant tier gear over a given time.
So your whole point is moot.
You want instant catalyst because your luck in raids is bad.
But you also dont want to put in the effort since hc raiding is a waste of time.
Ergo: your need for tier isnt high enough to make use of all possible options to gain it before the catalyst activates.
And even then, people disagree with you catalyst should open instant and offer tier crafting from day 1.

I am happy they continue the catalyst, the waiting time + charges is fine.
I cant remember many raid tiers (if any) where i did get my 4 tier set bonus within the first 2 months.
And the catalyst does help with this to speed it up
And i have been raiding till BFA when tier bonuses werent around anyway.
All other raiding tiers with bonuses we always focused way more on 2 set for everyone before going 4 set (only if it was extremely OP)
So yeah, i feel the catalyst truly is a nice addition and the timing is fine in my eyes.
And being able to get tier while not raiding is a neat bonus in my eyes. Since i tend to play m+ more than raid the last years.
Being critical of something doesn’t mean someone is mad, lmao. What a “good way” to argue by calling people mentally ill because they’re critical of a system that the developers themselves have expressed regret over taking so long to activate.

As I said it takes a month to have 4 sets from the opening. Do you know how many people with 4 tier sets have already a better score and they still get picked more than the guy who didn’t raid
