As per title… Please
Nope, fraid not.
careful, you’ll upset the #nochange clowns
Why?
Genuinely curious.
Because I presume that many players have alts, as levelling is so slow, and since Classic, unlike BfA, is not a race to 60. According to the purists and Classic evangelists of course.
So if you have a lot of alts, maybe even same classes twice (due in part to lack of spec switching), you will want to send mats and gear between alts, as it drops during your adventures. Having to wait 1 hour for each simple mail is just an arbitrary delay that serves for nothing other than to frustrate. OK, if you think long and hard you may come up with “reasons” why instant mail to alts might be exploited somehow and provide some advantage over the various snowflakes…
No means no. Come on already.
You can say that about a lot of things in Classic tho, if we changed the 1hr timer on mail what else should we change?
There are plenty of things that can be tweaked in classic. We shouldn’t just say “no lol wasn’t in classic gtfo”.
At least after some time I think there should be discussion about what can be changed.
Or, instead of instant mail to alt, how about we make a change to make it more genuinely vanilla and restrict mail to 1 item per mail again? Blizzard has already made quality of life changes for new players, please don’t go asking for more changes.
Too late… The #nochanges clowns are already here…
Its already starting… but its kinda funny to read topics like these.
I just dont get one point - you were yelling for authentic vanilla experience aka #nochanges for many years, but now you would like to do changes…
What about just to sit down, eat the vanilla dessert you have ordered and s.tfu already?
The whole of classic is an arbitrary delay, why pick on the mail system?
Also, you wanted Classic, you’re getting it. Warts and all.
#onechange
Since mail is already changed since vanilla, might as well add this. I mean I can send loads of things to an alt in a single mail rather than one thing at a time as in vanilla. Funny how #nochanges doesn’t include the changes they’ve already made…
The reason for the delay was most likely because of restrictions on the servers. With the years and advancing in server technology, it’s unnecessary.
So I don’t see a change as breaking with the classic feel. My problem is that it might start a flow of request for changes. “You changed X so why not Y?”. So for that reason I like to keep things as they are, less they suddenly start changing things important to the classic feel.
But as I’ve said above, there have already been changes to the game. This isn’t vanilla, it’s Classic and Blizzard have decided to pick and choose what they keep the same and what they change, so people can ask for what changes they like, but ultimately Blizzard will get to decide whether the requested changes fit their own criteria for what the game is meant to be.
Instant mail to alts isn’t game-breaking, but there could be an effect on the economy as more people start using bank alts to deal with their auctions. Chances are more things will go on the AH and this could mean price drops as competition increases.
It opens the flood gates to double xp and AP farming. Noty.
How exactly? Do the improved graphics open the flood gates to double XP and AP farming? Does the fact you can send multiple items in a single mail, instead of one item as in vanilla, open the flood gates to double XP and AP farming? In fact, do any of the changes currently in the game open the flood gates to double XP and AP farming? Please enlighten us.
Read topic of thread b4 reply, K thnx.
What are you even talking about? I suspect nobody knows.
How exactly does instant mail to alts open the flood gates to double XP and AP farming?
