Instant poison vs sharpen

Just wondering… in our guild we have rogues using instant poison during raid, and I try to keep track of debuffs, and gets replaced all the time by a cycle of deep wounds or just corruption/mindflay overspam.

-Is using instant poison for rogues a good idea in raids?
-How much is a nondebuff leaving thing ike Sharpen weapon inferior to poison?
-Or is it so you can both sharpen and apply a poison?
-What would be the best buff for a rogue weapon all things considered?

We are a non-debuff watching guild that spams stuff at will. Fun, but if its better for the rogues to just sharpen I think they will, and we would get a more useful debuff slot usage.

instant poison does not have any debuff.
I think in general WF>Consecrated sharp stone>Instant poison, ele might be better on OH and regular sharpening stone might be better on vael or high nr mobs and are certainly on magic dmg immune mobs.

Allright, thanks for pointing that out.
