Perhaps that’s because this thread was opened by a person who complained about Shadow Priests having an issue and I have very little sympathy for three dps classes who decide to play a worse spec? Also because I’ve personally haven’t played affli on anything above 2k so I don’t believe I’m educated enough on the matter regarding affli to make a statement, while I believe I am regarding shadow.
I mean I understand fun is an important matter in the game, but if you have the choice to easily switch between a good spec and a worse spec, choose to not switch to the good spec, then go to a post about a different class who doesn’t have the option to switch to a better spec without completly switching roles and complain about people staying on topic rather than going offtopic, I feel like there’s something weird about your thought process. But then again, perhaps that’s just me
I know it sucks if your favorite spec isn’t good, but PvP has never been balanced. If you’re trying to do really well, you gotta play a bit more meta and less offmeta. That’s all I can say about affli, as I’ve mentioned before, never played affli on a high enough level to comment.
What? Give one example of shadow pvp talent that helps me get melee of me.
Ill start listing stuff you mentioned. Greater fade- nice but wont get anybody of you, you can get kicked trought it and you cant do dps or anything offensive. Immune for 4 sec is useless kitting tool since you dont have slow or any sort of movement.
Then you mentioned psyfiend -1hp one melee hit and its dead since its spawns where are you standing - so it is useless kiting tool anf wont get melee of you.
Then you mentioned body and soul which isnt a pvp talent, but its normal talent and its basicaly only movement option shadow have in a same row with intangibility which is mandatory for pvp. So another useless example of kitting tool from you. And btw even if we have it baseline it wont help us get melees of our a$$es since we dont have any slow or root.
Then you mentioned intangibility as an optuon for kiting or getting melees of you. Are you serious? Using our biggest defensive cd (dispersion) just to pointlessly try kite some melee, which you wont kite anyway since you cannot cast anything in dispersion and you dont have any demented slow aka crypling poison, chains of ice etc.
Then you said we wont get kicked on vt…dude at that point i have to ask why do you even post here when you have no clue whatsoever. Every single mongomelee and their mother know that if you kick sp on vt which is shadow = you cant do dmg, you cant use fade or dispersion, you cant heal and you cant cc. You will get kicked on vt all day long.
Then there was another clown in this post saying that we have great toolkit for kiting melees. After he was challenged to list some of those cool stuff he went on with stun(trinket), fear (many classes can dispell it and it breaks even on dot damage + long cd), silence = lol, mc = you are ccd aswell so even if you manage to get cast mc you cant do anything since you are both in cc.
Not to mention stuff like cloak of shadows, ams, spell reflect, grounding etc.
Its not fun at all to play sp nowdays, especialy now with corrupted items where before you get a single cast of, you are 10% hp against 35k constant dps war monk or dh.
No they realy dont. It was case back in TBC/WOTLk where casters being squishy was compensated by high dmg output. Meele right now have massive dmg output but kept all the survivavibiliy, mobility and get many answers to casting.
As a shadow priest you have the highest pvp damage output in the game, this is why you are always locked down as soon as you are spotted by anything in the area.
Only noob priests claim this, %90 of them are dummies yes but there are people that know how to play properly as a Shadow Priest, I don’t know their current state though after the nerfs.
1 vs multiple enemies not being a fair game?.. who would have thought? Sorry for the sarcasm, but QQing like that is useless.
Anyway, taking 1v1, use your Psychic Scream/Horror and some kiting to keep 'm off you as much as possible. And try to learn to Juke cast to let them waste an interrupt. Learning to use that effectively is wat a good player sets himself apart.
And yes, it isn’t easy vs a melee, but you do have the tools needed.
No, not multiple, all it takes is one melee to shut down a caster. Stop pretending like you don’t get giddy when you see a shadow priest as a rogue, target dummy practice. Against a good rogue I’m lucky to get two casts off before I’m dead.
I must be trash because the one caster that effs me up is specifically Shadow Priest.
How can you not be able to survive when your class has 100% shields all the time?
