No.

A weekly grind, as we are returning to a valor type system. Which will require a bare minimum once a week with cosmetic rewards on optional content.

A solo challenge in a rogue lit styled content instead of a 3 man group requiring island expedition.

It’s fine to be cautious. But no shadowlands doesn’t really look like a repeat BFA.

BFAs problems don’t exist in shadowlands.

No limitless grind.
No RNG effects on ilevel.
No armour based on a limitless grind.

Sure if it’s executed poorly it could end up as bad as BFA. But not BFA xD

The anima system is a weekly valour cap. We are returning to a weekly completion instead of a daily completion.

Which will require a small amount of content to complete each week once with additional optional quests for cosmetic rewards.

So no Anima isn’t AP in disguise and it holds none of the problems current systems have.

We were asking for valour to return instead of this limitless grind. And in a way it’s been brought back.

A weekly progression you do once a week, gives you. 7 days a week to complete it. While currently the systems enforce you to log on all 7 days or be punished

As I say it’s right to be cautious. Because realistically it will mostly come down to execution. If it’s executed well the likelyhood is it will be a good expansion.

If we see last minute rushing and details skipped and content becomes mundane we will likely hate it.

Considering how much crap systems they have pumped out to us i doubt he even knows what he wants.

Older expansions were not perfect but had lots of systems and mechanics that were 156% more fun than overabundance of RNG crap on everything and the major thing i hate in wow from MoP onward is and was the removal of spells skills and talent trees. Sure there was cookie cutter crap but for us who loved to create out of the box specs with old trees the new talent “tree” killed the game for lots of us.

I don’t really mind spec/class balancing but when its done blizzards 0 to 100 style its annoying as fudge when they just outright make your class sometimes almost unplayable and unfun to do even the open world content.

well

  1. you don’t know how long you need to complete it. If it takes you 4 days to complete boring things, not a big win here
  2. also a system like this again, makes it alt unfriendly no matter what.

We have currently a “weekly” system with the assaults and if you behind on alts it is impossible to catch up with your cloak.

So for me it is still rubbish

What kind of empty reply is that?

Ion: “We’re chopping players legs off because we feel like they don’t take the time to appreciate the scenery”
Leafkettle: “Ooh, better player experience!”

Also, to the people that replied to me on target cap / M+ keys or whatever. Its about the principle of whats hes doing, not the actual example I used. He tinkers with things that aren’t broke and don’t need fixing. Sure, hes a lawyer so he always has some smarmy way to sell bad ideas.

May be it’s technical issue. System can’t keep up with reaping pulls with new graphics?

Just a theory :money_mouth_face:

He said it was a Tiny amount of required content, with more optional content which doesnt contribute to it and awards Cosmetic Reward so a hour of content a week is more reasonabvle then 4 days lol.

im pretty sure someone asked him on this … and he basically said it was very small in what was required… so i think a hour or two a Week is likely more correct.

between all the other stuff like thorgast that you have to do weekly and whatever else we have, 2h is probably not few
I loathe already doing the stupid assaults, not because it time consuming but because it is braindead boring.

Why we need this kind of “content”

Liking what he said after his reasoning about no account-wide essenses. Liking what he said after his reasoning behind keeping pathfinder in SL. Liking what he said after him unironically throwing feces at alliance players (may you rest in peace, blues).
Haha oh wow! He is borderline between delusional and malicious in how he handles the game and its needs. And he is leading the wow team.

I think Ion makes a compelling argument in favor of covenant abilities but it still doesn’t assuage my concern.

Personally I knew the second I saw the Ardenweald coven, that it would be the one I was choosing. It speaks to me in a visceral way that recalls all my favorite fantasy stories.

The same is true of the warlock class. It was the first character I ever made In WoW and to this day when I see my warlock on the character screen it makes we want to play.

The issue I have is that now my character fantasy and what appeals to me about a class is potentially at odds with the fantasy of the game and lore.

So for my Druid, the choice is already made and I just have to endure whatever class mechanic is assigned to Ardenweald and the ramifications that has on gameplay.

Because an utterly blind rng system is better than being able to as a group determine where the loot goes, it’s so much fun to see the game waste your best items by giving them to someone who won’t use them and can’t trade them.

Personal loot is revolting.

Personal loot is awesome. The fact that there’s a restriction on trading not so much. As I said before, items should be tradeable as long as the person is eligible to receive it (no lockout of that boss).

Personal loot is a good system that benefits the players rather the guild masters and officers.

Didn’t take long for this fallacy to rear its head.

Choice is never a bad thing. If you felt like ML was being abused you had the choice to leave the place where that was happening.

Everytime I get an upgrade instead of giving it to someone who
“Surely have better use for it” it feels bloody great ngl

Ah, so we’re back to this, this myth that all raiding guilds operate loot covens to deprive honest hard working players of loot. This might be tricky to grasp, but that’s not how they operated. If a guild did operate like that, they’d die off.

It was fine for pugs, but taking it away from organised groups was, and still is, unacceptable.

The choice would be not raiding, because people with power often like to abuse the situation, and people in power are the ones leading raids. Now I can raid without having to worry about not getting loot because of some “social rules”.

In fact, I can actually collect mogs because I get my loot without having to give to others because of some made-up loot rules.

Personal loot is awesome, deal with it.

For me and you, not for guild officers/preformed groups of friends, so we will never understand them and they us.

So it’s better to be able to collect appearances than facilitate your team to beat the next boss check, advance further?

I would really like to know where this happened, I’ve raided in half a dozen guilds since I started, all ran with ML, yet, it was never abused.

If the people had that power its because you enabled it.

Like other sensible people said, if this was really happening, those guilds would die really quickly.

I’ll leave it at that, we won’t see eye to eye. Thats fine.

“No Titanforging/Warforging. However, less loot will drop.”

I LOVE THAT

“The plan with the “AoE Cap” is to make a distinction between “cleave” and “AoE”.”
I’m fine with that. , i’ve explained my opinion here :

“No plans for Master Looter, or Gear Swapping in Dungeons”
i’m kinda neutral, Gear swapping is just annoying if you got a wrong item on you and you forgot to swap them in my opinions. And for people using legendary for movespeed like in Legion what the different between speed potion and that ?

“Keep giving feedback on specific abilities that feel bad on the GCD.”
Some spell like burst on GCD is kinda annoying, i think about Double Tap and Trueshot as hunter. It feel very annoying and for a caster MM this on GCD kill the feeling of the fun and deny some killing situation in arena.

“Swapping Covenants is a hot topic and they want there to be a meaningful choice there. However, if all else fails, they can give up and let players swap when they want but they want to try to save the system before throwing it out.”

I love those spell. But i like both identity to convenant , but for multiplayer that do multiple content to hight level yes that annoy them.
I for both system. i kinda like 5% more the identity system tho.

“Some old set bonuses or Legiondary effects may make their return in Shadowlands Legendaries.”
I hope for some class they gonna make better legendary. I remember as Marksmanship Hunter how Legendary was crap impactfull than the Legendary of Warrior tank that was soo fun because you got teh feeling you weared them.

“Tier sets are a possibility, but not for 9.0 but potentially later in the expansion.”
I like the transmog of Tier Set i gonna say. But about the bonus i’m not feeling good for the coming back. I prefer to forget tier set so when a class is viable for a patch, it’s viable for the rest of the extension. With tier set the value of balancing class changed everytime ( i take example Prot Warrior not viable in ToS in legion and totally viable in Antorus in Legion , just 1 patch different, only 1 tier set passed the class to non viable to viable.)

“There are no plans for another large drop of additional class changes. They wanted to drop large changes and revamps early so there is plenty of time to get feedback and change things.”

I hope there will be some change , or some spec will not be viable. expecially for MM hunter :
