How is the Ironfoe server doing ?
Im Currently horde on dreadnaught having a blast and wouldn’t mind an ally alt was thinking of Ironfoe
Whats the population like and faction balance ?

Alliance have slightly more active auctions which usually means they’re the large population (19k active as opposed to 15k active on horde side). That’s about 1/3 of the size of Dreadnaught; but still plenty of activity

Sounds plenty to level an alt
World is still very much alive during the levelling process in all zones. Lots of world PvP going on, especially in STV. It’s down to 1 layer now and feels like the Alliance do outnumber the Horde by quite a lot. Can be difficult solo questing if you go to the PvP hotspots. Out of those zones if you want to quest most people seem quite respectful & will often just leave you to quest if it’s just another solo player also questing. If you want world PvP is not hard to find. Hillsbrad, Alterac, STV & Atathi seen to be the spots so far for me that are most active often with groups of 3-5 players fighting whilst questing.
Last night around 8/9pm server their was 95 people in total in BGs across all brackets / all bgs. Not sure if this is good or bad yet as a lot of people are still levelling.

Well felt in open world it is more like 80 Alliance 20 Horde… Youre getting camped, ganked etc etc by a lot of Groups with no Horde there… Ratchet has more Alliance than Horde…
Cheers for the further info. Just a bit of a shame blizzard can’t implement a faction balance limiter / indicator which can never go beyond 40/60%
For pvp servers it seems crucial. Ill still level tho im not hardcore at all

Botte, it goes both ways. I run into as many Horde as Alliance out in the world.
With that said, I think the Alliance pop is slightly higher, overall. Based on the auction house.
u get that auctions are also made by bots to gain gold? dont think auctions are that great of a valid parameter

You think that bots only play on one faction?
AH activity has always been a good barometer for overall realm population .
It’s good for casual ( maybe better than dread ) but if you try hard it’s little bit annoying.
We all know each other name at lvl 60, need to wait 3hours for dunjeon and spam all the serveur on pm, not enough leather in AH yesterday when i wanna do leatherwork 1-300 (it’s for an exemple, many thing i dont found in AH ), many mats high lvl worth like nothing ( look the price at devilsaur and black lotus ) and thing depend to the number of players and not the server is really expansive like cooldown arcanite ( worth more than crystal ), mooncloth, refined selt because of limited players. I never see the capitals full too, many time i cant found a portail mage at orgrimmar…
And its seems no guild gonna begin MC before middle of january minimum when i see number of 60.
So it’s good if you’r pretty casual because i guess many people in zone like STV actually, but if you little bit try hard, go on dread, if i have other chance to make a character at the start i change my choice for dread. They are like 20-30x number of level 60 ( i checked the two server with /who and they really are 20x more ) than us.
Hope it’s gonna be more interesting in lvl 60 when more people reach the lvl max, if they dont drop…
It’s pretty full at the moment but that’s partly because dreadnought had a queue time to get in at first. If that queue time stops i have feeling people will just make all their toons on dreadnaught.
Well I think it was confirmed on the spreadsheet, that dreadnaught had at least 30/70 horde to alliance ratio. Ironfoe seems to have 40/60.
There isn’t one single server where horde would be equal or majority of the player population.

Thanks for the other replies. I’m only low level but been having a blast and it’s good to level a char on the alliance side.
Heres to hoping SoM doesn’t die off too much and we can all enjoy the releases of the phases

The longest I have had to wait to get on Dreadnought was a 2min queue at prime time once.
