Is Algalon the biggest threat we defeated?

Title says it all, Algalon was literally going to wipe all life on the plantet with basically a single button. Can’t think of any other boss being such an immediate threat to us. Against legion, Iron horde, old gods even we could’ve gone hiding perhaps and repelled quite a long. But not Algalon. Thoughts?

Btw, Algalon also has the best voice lines.

King Mechagon also had the Mechoriginator, turning everyone into a mindless mechagnome robot at the press of a button.

Not sure what’s worse, Algalon wiping all life, or King Mechagon making everyone his slaves.

I think that only affects ‘curse of flesh’ races.

Argus likely.
Phase four from his fight has a spell:
“End of All Things” - Argus ends creation, killing everything.

Kinda, but no. Anything created by the titans get back to their original forms: gnomes mechanical, dwarves stone, and so on. Anything not created by the titans, simply obliterated. So pretty much all life destroyed, one way or the other.

Fair enough :grimacing:

True, how could I forget that one.

While Mechagon definitely needed to be killed (he’s a gnome) and he was threatening but I don’t think he is quite on par with Algalon and Argus.

By ‘‘End of All Things’’ I assume he ends our existance, not the whole universe’s or azeroth’s

“ends creation” seems pretty ominous though.

Indeed it does, I think argus had alot of potential, but sadly newer expansion had to come it was his time and sargeras’s to get wiped

Thinking about it actually malygos whom created the focusing iris the iris had the power to destroy the world 10 times

I don’t think Blizzard are done with that story plot. There’s a motive for Sargeras to be explored, and a past and origin for Argus.
Blizzard tends to inch their way through those major cosmic plots, and then every once in a while there’s a huge revelation.
Still ongoing. :yum:

I hope so looking at how we just lazer beamed n’zoth and moved on makes me thing sargeras wont play much part given the fact that we don’t really know much of what happened like hes not inprisoned .at some point he’ll come out be the good guy help us defeat someone by sacrificing himself to get redemption.

That could be used to something like void gods or stuff. I don’t like the idea of these redemptions though.

There are a lot of threads to the Azeroth World Soul and it seems as if Blizzard are sowing the seeds for that.
Just like past expansions sowed a lot of seeds about the Titans and slowly moved the story in a direction that culminated in us fighting at The Pantheon, so are Blizzard obviously laying the foundation for another major story arc.

Not really. If destruction of azeroth is what we’re talking about, the burning legion wanted the same. And so does the jailer.

If we’re talking about power and danger, algalon doesn’t even come close to the other threats we’ve faced. That includes old gods, titans/burning legion and now jailer.

Wasn’t Deathwing about to split the planet in two or something?

Yeah me neither but thats blizzard’s writing nowadays everyone deserves a redemption

The non assumption take (face value) is that he ends all creation
He is the titan of death afterall
I wouldn’t be suprised if Argus’ death is what broke the Arbiter

He is a mere shell of what he used to be, its like saying denathrius could end everything when we just came in stole his precious amulets and downed him given the fact these ‘‘eternal ones’’ are titan level of power
Titan of death more like Titan of Dead
