Reckful played on horde quite often, i remember the first video i ever saw of him was an undead rogue in Wrath of the Lich king.
Personally i find it a bit sad that only alliance can pay tribute to him 
I don’t mean this in a disrespectful way but are you sure you meant to post this in the Classic forum?
But to answer the point, I’m guessing the NPC was made in his likeness which would be best suited to a human model. Also if the NPC were undead I’m sure Blizzard would be accused by some of insensitivity

Let’s just place 9000 reckful NPCs everywhere around the world in all Blizz games
Lol yeah I bet a lot of people would be triggered because of the undead reckful. 
having a undead reckfull would be a risk but I think thats what he once mained.
Perhaps the guy in question could have apriciate the joke
