Serious question, not trolling, because as time has gone on, I’ve realized that at this point, I just don’t care about 9.1 anymore, nothing excites me about the thought of its release.
It’s taken so long now and still no end in sight that when we do finally get a release date I’ll just think to myself “ok” and move on, where as before I got hyped and excited about release dates for new content patches.
I’ll still play it, don’t get me wrong, but my excitement has all but gone now because of how long it’s taking, just wondering if i’m alone in this thought process or not?
Not really, no. It will be good with a new seasonal affix and looking forward to the megadungeon (but thats probably irrellevant within a few weeks). Other then that i dont really look forward to anything else i think.
“Excited for”? No, but I’m never excited for content patches unless they bring some new mechanic I like, and that usually just happens pre-expansion. I get excited for expansions though, but I also don’t let myself get over-hyped.
I certainly am looking forward to flying, but it gets here when it gets here and I’m not losing sleep over it.
I’m excited to see the story progress (regardless of its quality), looking forward to to visit the new mega dungeon and zone, 6/10 if I had to put a number on it. (It’ll probably get higher once I get to actually play the damn thing losing patience here)
I think most people are, most people that have strong opinions on wow and express those opinions are people that like wow and want wow to do well, and if you are one of those people then you’re naturally going to be at least a bit excited for new content.
Isn’t this exactly what Blizzard said they where afraid would happend? That by the time the new patch came out… People would have lost their interes in it. Not sure Witch interview it was but Ion also said ‘‘It will come soon… But it needs to be good’’ etc.
I’ll play it as I’m going back into Mythic progress. This being said, I’m quite happy Blizzard didn’t put in a brand new system. I hope they’ll keep following this path.
I just realized, I don’t think I’ve been excited for a WoW release since midnight Wrath launch.
Not sure if it’s habit now, or if I’m jaded. I guess I’ll just tell myself it’s that thing that happens to pros when they stop getting butterflies before performances.
Hopeful rather than excited. The drought plus Euro 2020 (I know normie, football things) have left me logging in checking my mission table on 8 characters and logging out.
I think people who love the game and want something to do are waiting for it, then once they realize how little content it is, they will be back on here in about a week or 2 complaining about how bad 9.1 is.
I personally want to see how the Anduin and Sylvannas story plays out with the end of the raid and what we can expect, but thats all I really want to know. Anything else seems the same old bland stuff to me for this upcoming patch.
None of the changes interest me, then or now. And being able to fly won’t change much of anything considering the zones are small and totally disconnected from each other. I’m also not excited about any maw content.
I mean, I am excited at the idea of having wednesday raid night back. I miss having 25-30 guildies signing up for a few hours of chaos. But I absolutely dread 9.1 being the “9.0 director’s cut” such that 2 weeks later they’ve all gone again, this time permanently.
I love my guild, and I enjoy playing the game with them. I hope they enjoy playing with me. But by god the game has to actually be good enough to make us all actually like it on its own merits.
If this delay is not to make 9.1 the best damn patch we ever played, then we’re on the ropes. Throw us a frikking bone and give us a patch that’s fun to play, no systems, no obstructions between us and getting started on doing the good stuff.
(Side note; cancelled my sub. It will run out somewhere after 9.1 release, I will have plenty of chance to continue it again; I just wanted to be sure it doesn’t auto-renew. That’s how excited I am for 9.1, right there. So damn excited I don’t want to pay by accident.)
I’m not excited about korthia cause that is just a new zone for daily purposes WQ etc…
only thing i really want to try in 9.1 is the new affix and how it will work if those anima power are OP or just 1 % dmg increase
9.1
from what i saw is just new raid redesigned maw + korthia
and new affix in m+
and dont forget that ilvl increase Again so regrinding
I’m not excited this time. Not because this is a bad expansion, nor because this patch has been going on for too long, but simply because I don’t see anything interesting in 9.1.
