Is Blizzard really this out of touch?

That’s such a niche case, who really cares.

What’re you winning by being max level? Levelling just isn’t enjoyable to everyone which is why the boosts are so popular.

I mean the fix to this isn’t particularly difficult.

You just make it so that you only obtain the toggle for Joyous Journeys when you have reached level 70 on a non-boosted character.

Something, something, journey, something.

To be fair, I think it’s somewhat reasonable to have to undertake the full experience on one character. After that, forcing people to repeat the process at the same pace is masochistic and serves no purpose. Sure, give them the option to do that if they really want, however I can guarantee that 99% of people would play with Joyous Journeys turned on while playing their alts.

if they dont extend it’s an absolute fail. free win to extend.

Get heirloom. “But it’s only 25%”

True, but, having a BiS weapon the whole leveling make it as fast as a 40-50% buff.

Extend what?

Think you should change the topic to “Give me more than one lvl 70 boost” - that way you have small chance someone in Blizz will hear you.

Budget meeting in Blizz:
“Hey, you heard? PPle want to give us more money for boosts, we just have to give them more then one per account”
“Wow, rly - lets do it, and also lest raise the price to 140 EURO…”

I just don’t think they are interested in giving us an 800% value experience like the Diablo Immortal folks, so i’ll settle with my one free boost with heroic purchase if they keep the exp buff -=D

If the buff does stay it should be turned off as soon as you set foot in Northrend.

What kind of events are you missing without the buff that you would catch with it?

The AQ-event had some low level things to do, most “Season”-events can be done on low levels aswell. The current Invasion also has stuff on different levels. Apart from that there arent many events to speak about.
Dont buy in on the “race to the red light”. For a player that has a hard time reaching max level even with the buff there simply isn’t anything there to rush for in the first place.

The problem is the mentality of the community and that is what ruins the game, not experience buffs and similar (or lack of them).

Once upon a time the game was like a ladder. No matter what step you were on there where people there with you, and people didnt mind going back a step or two from time to time, making all the “steps” of the game populated.
Mix in the fact that people were less min/max orientaited which made them stay longer and you’ll quickly see why less population felt like more population back in the day. People played and enjoyed the game no matter what step they were on.

Nowdays, people want to speed through all the steps to reach the “roof” (race to raidlogging, who can play less).
They want all steps to be there and populated “on demand”, while at the same time they rarely (if ever ) look back once they have finished with it. It should be full when they are there and who cares once theybare finished - so bring in the short term solutions for “me” (the center of the universe).
Add the fact that less time is spent on each step, and you"ll understand why the game feels empty until the very last step.
On top of that they are selling the idea that its there on the very last strep that the game begins and everything prior to that should be a chore.

For a small amount of people that is the truth, for a majority it is not. Especially for the people who simply dont have the time to spend, they are only fooling themselfs.

Thats why I cant understand why Blizzard added this, the Buff, in the first place, giving more fuel to the meta that is ruining their work. As a bonus, sure, but as proven the community rarely stays happy with only a finger.

Yeah I can’t really disagree with boosts only being sold for alts.

But they can’t really do that when they tie 'em in with mounts and stuff, just Blizzard being Blizzard

I don’t agree with RDF, like I said, i’m not a “gimme person”, but I think it absolutely destroys the incentive to continue leveling alts at the basic Wrath leveling speed.

My biggest issue is that from a business standpoint, and knowing full well the server populations will absolutely crash except for a select few, and only offering ONE level 70 boost for sale, I trully don’t understand their purpose of removing this buff for 1-68. It is a vitalizing component to alt leveling and at least can keep the 1-68 dungeons on life support for a while.

So let me get this straight, u dont support rdf cause? but u support level boosting and a buff that was never added in og wotlk?

No, you are out of touch. You want fast leveling go to retail. It’s really fun. I play it all the time. Stop trying to turn classic into it.

It was a mistake giving the buff in the first place. I hope you quit.

actual travesty they removed this buff, especially on the fresh servers.

Wrath will die in the next two months. Nobody will bother to quest till level 80 without the bonus xp buff.

Folks in Blizzard believe that we have the luxury to spend hours upon hours every day on questing? Really?
