I have max crafting, max gathering, I do all the WQ’s but I have nowhere near the enough gold to craft legendary axe for example. Is the only way to make big gold to craft the axe or buy mounts etc is to boost people?

Buy tokens. Best thing there is.
Considering how long I take to earn the 20E, its the best $$$ for my time in the game. Better even than boosting.
So I suggest you do what 99% of players do. Pay up 20E and get your leggo. Or your flasks for raid, or whatever else you might want.

In theory you can also learn enough gold by being a AH goblin but don’t expect me to go into detail. Not earning a “master’s degree in economics” to play the AH.

the issue is tokens are not sold in my country…
Normally crafting is pretty good but mostly for the first couple of months after a patch, gathering is useless right now because of botting.

If you have max crafting on professions there is some demand, make macros and spam them during times the trade chat is slow. I do this during the nights when I am bored, and anyone that wants an order can tip whatever they want (unless it is for guaranteed rank 5, where i charge 5k).
This way its not that hard to make some steady gold. Depends on how many orders you get, but can average 5-20k per hour.
Gathering at this point is a no go. The materials are so low that I do not think it is worth it.
WQs are pretty steady and low effort work, and you can scale it pretty easily with leveling alts and making an alt army.
2 weeks ago when I crafted the lego, it went for less than 170k, so it’s not that hard to farm it in 1-2 weeks (unless you are playing only 1 character, and the max professions you have are not in demand).

There are so many videos on YouTube on how to grind gold, without having to spend any real money.
There are a lot of things to farm, like BOE transmog things, which can sell for a nice amount of gold.
Just don’t let it frustrate you as that makes the whole thing worse overall. Just write it all down as to the amount you need and then the different forms of what you need to farm. Set it out in terms of how many hours you can spend farming before you want to pull out your hair.
Make sure to have another monitor/phone/tablet next to you, so you can watch a movie/tv show and then just grind it out.

Pretty much. Buy tokens and sell, play the AH, grind materials for professions like bots, or boost.

You have to advertise in trade. You can’t just take only public orders. I’ve made quite a lot of gold on crafting since DF launch. A lot of it from crafting crests and proccing dracothysts from that and selling them on the AH.

I started this expansion with ~2.5 million across all characters.

I’ve bought quite a lot of mats to go towards crafting, but I also haven’t gone mad for it, and I’ve not bought a token since WoD.
TLDR, as far as I can see there isn’t a way to make gold in DF without some kind of boosting engagement. Didn’t think I’d say it, but I miss mission tables.
Boosting is pretty easy and quick gold. You might need to get up to ~3k score to run +18 boosts (which is what seems to be most popular), but that shouldn’t be too difficult.
I thought about doing that, but seeing there are dozens of ads just raining non stop in trade channel (service channel disabled) made me think it would be in vain. Any tips for efficient advertisements?
Not even boosting is much gold atm.
13k for a 18 in time is kinda low, and the boosting community has been invaded by terrible people as well in the later year, who behave poorly to eachother as well as speak weird languages.
Its basically a problem everywhere now.

Yeah, I mainly played PvP this season and have reached 2.6k M+ io during the end of it. Might push 3k to join some boost communities. +18 is a literal breeze anyway, I already boosted my mates through them for some vaults and mats.

I’m in the US and started my EU account 2 years ago with the intention of buying a couple tokens to sell on the AH but after I got set up and logged into the game I found out a US address account couldn’t buy EU tokens or vice versa so it was a struggle to come up with gold. Finally 2 weeks ago the option to buy a token appeared in the shop both in game and via browser. Now I’m not gold poor anymore!!
I dont really know what else to do at this point mate. WQ’s let me buy consumables etc but I cant get legendary, heirloom, mount and other expensive stuff with it.
Saw some ads on service channel where they were selling +16 runs for 90k.

They were like yeah 3k to prove your reliable.
Not enough raid experience aswel since I just do keys.
It’s not as easy as you think to join a boosting community.
I believe I can get 3k. Have some high key pushers in my guild but I just didnt focus on PvE this season.
Also is it true that these boosters mass report you if you boost on your own with your own squad xD
