I’m curious if it’s still okay to use ISboxer to manage your screenlayout, while not using the broadcast feature which is now banned. Blizzard seem to have made it clear multiboxing is okay, broadcast keys is not.
Just i’m aware blizzard uses warden to scan all the processes run on your computer, and ban you if you use certain third party programs. And in blizzard’s article they say “The use of input broadcasting software that mirrors keystrokes to multiple WoW game clients will soon be considered an actionable offense” which makes me think maybe they’re going to program warden to just go after ISboxer because it has broadcast capability, even if i’m only using it to fast tab between characters and farm frostmaul eko’s very efficiently.
Isboxxer at its current state is banned, it doesnt matter if you dont use the broadcast its still able to do broadcasting so it is banned. Dev of isboxxer said they gonna make a new version with the banned features removed so it will be safe to use.
I don’t think they’ll ban people having like 2-3 extra accounts for summoning etc.
Why would they, it’s a person paying multiple subs.
I think the only reason they changed it is because of retail.
With Shadowlands around the corner and legendaries partially being made from player crafts they wanted to stop multiboxers from mining/herbing the same node 10 times.
For those unaware, unlike in Classic where a node disappear as soon as it’s mined/picked by 1 person, on retail it’ll only disappear on your screen but stay up on others screen for like 30 or so seconds before fading.
So if you run 10x Miners/Herbers together, you effectively get 10x the materials that a normal player would get.
I honestly don’t think it had anything to do with them wanting to ‘fix’ the world pvp of 10 chars 1shotting you with AP/PoM/Pyro macro’s because if that was the main reason why would they not have done anything for the last 16 years?
