Is it time to call the mission table a day?

WoD garrison mission table was the best iteration. This one’s ok, but could receive improvements, and cov imbalance was stupid at the beginning.

As far as i remember WoD and early Legion did not have an app for the table .
I know BFA did but by then it was so gutted was not worth it .

Yeah. Originally it was meant as a way to addict you into logging in with its massive up-front rewards, but then they figured - hey, we can make all the missions take different lengths and then have people checking their phone all day - and then we got this.

But people complained that the rewards were too good as well, so they nerfed that.

Even so, the mission table, to this day, can still provide upward of 1500g a day if you do all the missions. This means that I could’ve earned like 250k gold since the game came out if I had done my mission tables every time one finished up.

This addon is literally designed to delete the gameplay of the table from the table.

The fact that addons like these are so universally loved is a testament to how unpopular these tables really are.

I like the table, specifically because its done “offline”, when im at work or away from home.
It has decent rewards, not great, just decent, as it should be, just a bonus.

Now, im not saying that it cant and shouldnt be improved.
Ventyr and Kirian are still too weak compared with the other 2 covenants and it still takes ages to level to 60.

I think I’ve failed a mission all in all, all covenants included only a few times. I don’t really think about who I choose for the missions, tho I have now a pretty good idea who are necessary for what. Like I haven’t bothered do the mount missions on any other covenant but necrolord, followers were all around 40 and got all the mounts no issue. With the rest I just focus on the gold missions, resources and so on.

But yeah never had then need to use an addon for the mission table. I do agree with the imbalance, necro and nightfae manage a lot easier than venthyr and kyrian.

Overall I still like the mission table a lot. Feel like they could add more rewards to it in later patches, more mounts and pets.

Both the Venthyr and the Kyrians straight up failed the bulk of missions. We’ve been buffed since (and the Night Fae got nerfed) but a basic percentage should be visible to see if we succeed or not. It’s been a basic part of the mission table since it’s inception. Currently I can only see that via an addon.

My Necrolord can more or less throw anything on the mission table and it succeeds.

Yes the covenants were (and are) imbalanced, but all equally prediuctable. I don’t think I’ve failed on any of the four Covenants,

I think I’ll just agree to differ, before getting Covenant Mission Helper I couldn’t do missions, with the addon I could finally start succeeding.

legion command table was the better iteration:
wod was too messy and cluttered
BfA was oversimplified
this SL version tried to innovate, I liked in the beginning, but at high level some missions become very annoying.

Thank you to everyone who replied. I do appreciate it. Great to get some different perspectives of the relevance of Mission tables. Thanks again.

I quite enjoy the new mission table.
Challenge wise, it’s a bit more complicated than the previous ones, but I’d gladly take some more challenge even. However I think this was a step in the right direction.

From the rewards point of view, mounts and pets are great additions. Anima is like AP, I don’t really care about it. What I like the best is that there are plenty of augment runes as a reward. I never really bought those for progression fights, they tend to be expensive for a marginal gain, but I can easily farm them with the new table.

When on alt i get same pet, mount i wish could sell them,or exange them for extra anima.

Nah! Thanks to mission table I dont need to farm mats for flask, food, gold, pet charms etc.
Mission table is 50% of the content in shadowlands for me (25% torghast weekly?, 25% weekly m+?).

I don’t mind the tables but this expac…the table is lack lustre compared to BFA. No companions to take out in the world. No gear hunting for them. Lack of bonuses for hunting Anima via the table.

It’s a boring mini chore you do after doing your dailies.

Huh? The runes, the gold, the materials are pretty darn sweet. Even more so if you have a horde of alts to farm the table. It’s miles better than the BfA table, as far as rewards go.

Even tough i like the current mission table, there is a good reason why not to have it in the game: It takes developer’s resources to be made.

Lets remove mythic raids then, because far less people partake in that than people who play the mission table. Clearly a waste of resources.

Step away from my Mission Table, keeping your paws where I can see them.

I called it a day months ago when I realised I was just wasting anima that I could be using for better upgrades. The rewards are terrible for me. Maybe they get better if you keep playing, but unless you’re throwing 220 gear at me, then there’s no point. I’m not exactly jumping at the chance to get a tiny amount of anima (which is further reduced because I’ve had to spend anima to get the mission).

Nah Ion loves it too much.
