Is it worth returning to horde?

I started off on horde and really enjoyed it, people were nice and such but then I left to the ally for more rp simply. But I wanna know what’s is really the state of it now? (Besides casual which is just long in the grave by now) how are guilds, commuinties, events?

somebody post the here we go again gif

By that I will assume nothing has changed

there’s plenty of roleplay on the horde side, all the usual guilds not to mention arguably the largest rp community on argent dawn still exist - casual town rp was never big though there are some upcoming attempts to revive new hubs.

so yes, nothing has changed.

I returned to Horde after a very long time with the Alliance too and roleplayed in Orgrimmar yesterday evening. There were others in the Valley of Honor near the Wyvern’s Tail. We took a stroll through the city and to the waterfall in the Valley of Wisdom where I saw people walk by as well.

In short: there is RP, even in Orgrimmar, and with every new player added the community grows.

The Crossroads is beginning to grow as an RP hub. I attended an event there last week and it had quite a lot of attendance, with plenty of people casually RPing in the area afterwards!

As others have said, there’s a great initiative currently underway with an effort to bring more public and random RP to The Crossroads as a hub.

Here’s a link to the thread!

Otherwise, since my return to the game towards the tail end of Shadowlands, I was able to take part in some evening RP in Orgrimmar’s Valley of Honor. It’s a smaller space than Stormwind, of course, with certainly fewer people but I didn’t have too much trouble finding RP when I had the itch!

It’s been a little while since I’ve been back there myself IC but when I’ve dropped by OOC I’ve still spotted RPers about, too. It’s definitely around! I don’t think we’ll ever see Stormwind numbers of walk-ups on Horde but they opportunities are definitely there.

There are five or six horde guilds playing on the Dragon Isles as well. Just look around in the first zone.

Horde seems plenty active, given that you look for it. And that you don’t burn too many bridges in finding the right place to settle in.

I wouldn’t call leaving a guild to be burning bridges. I still have quite a lot of friends from your guild.

Yes, god. Return to the Horde.
The more people come to the Horde and become a part of the community and strive to stick with it and take part, the more people will look back and say ‘hmm actually…’
Do your part. Join the Horde.

Miss Horde a little, but I rest easy they’re always out there, ready to scrap.

They love a good fight.

I love a good fight.

Let’s go!!

Take a look at my forum post and you’ll understand that there is a lot of stuff still going on and many people have chimed in. Also links to the Crossroads hub and the Fireside gathering.

Horde still has RP to offer for those who give the initiative. Otherwise, you’re probably not going to get much if you just don’t take that leap yourself.
