Is it worth to lvl Professions in TBC

So im planning on leveling Blacksmithing and Engi for my Warrior in TBC to 375. Since i dont have gathering professions because of the bots i would have to buy everything from the AH. But since people are buying gold, the price of mats will be suuper inflated. So my Question should i level my professions to 375 or is it not worth the gold?

Check if BS has any BoP pre-bis and if they are really worth it / long-lasting. Engineering has the mote extractor, so it’s always a fun activity and gold. If anything, I would recommend starting mining/skinning, then moving into mining/engineering and skipping BS unless really needed.

That is going to cost you an absolute fortune especially the first few weeks after launch. It might be worth it to switch to mining as you can farm veins from dungeons also in TBC. I’m planning on having a few alts so I’ll level my main with no gathering professions then the first alt I level will have herb/mining and I’ll sell the ore/gems and keep the herbs so I can level an army of alts with Alchemy/Tailoring and make passive gold from transmuting and cloth CD’s and be set for the rest of the expansion without ever having to farm gold.

Considering the BS haste mace will be your bis until Sunwell (if no glaives) id say its very much worth it. Same goes if you want to PVP, the 2 handed mace is incredible.

Switch to mining/herbalism/skinning on you main character - regardless - and skill it up now !

Have a bank with all the mats required to lvl your main profession 1-300+ (engi, bs, alch…)

While leveling to 70 you can farm all mats required. Then later you switch.

Else….it will be very expensive for you - or you’ll need to level an alt.

If you gonna buy the boost to 58, consider making it a druid or rogue - so you can farm in dungeons.
