I’ve see many streamers on twitch using J-Morph and an a little confused about the rules regarding the use of it as many people have said in the past that they have been banned for using it.
I wouldn’t risk it. Last time players got a ban which was reverted.
They did say next time it would be a ban that wouldn’t be overturned.
Anything that alters the Warcraft code on your computer either on the hard drive or the memory is clearly against the rules.
T morph and J morph are very bannable from what i remember and what Anna linked also .
blizzard would never openly give the green light for a program like that even if they don’t consider it to be a clear violation.
Preferential treatment of the oligarchy streamers vs random plebs (us)
By the nature - this is auto ban from game, unless you celebrity, I guess. One of the functions alone gets mortal people permanently banned - Special race morphing and by passing the druid direct shifting. Blizzard has even taken stand explaining why nope-no when people used this to bypass a bug certain class had in-game (feral druid melee issues, where people changed model to be able to do things proper).
My rule of thumb for WoW has always been if it isn’t on Curse (Or the twitch app) don’t bother with it.
T-Morph is very much bannable. I don’t think they target ban for it, but it’s probably something that Warden might flag up and you could be taken out in a ban wave or something.
I assume J-Morph does the same stuff.
Didn’t Preach get banned for the xp potion abuse?
He did.
There is no preferential treatment, if any big streamer used T/J-Morph on stream then I’m sure they’d be banned.
OP never said what streamer it was though, but my assumption is that it wasn’t a “big name”, in the nicest way possible.
i know someone who uses, or atleast used it in the past and still plays. i think its hard for blizz to detect unless they personally look into your account. and yeah everyone knows streamers get special treatment
I’m wondering if this thread is like “I’m just asking for a friend”
Not safe - just not caught yet.
Blizz always ban in waves. If people think it’s worth the loss of their account then up to them I guess.
That’s another topic no?
No - it proves that streamers do get punished. You said they get treated differently.
but they do get special treatment, it’s ignorant to argue otherwise… there are thousands of examples. GM’s returning deleted (no longer obtainable) items, successfully appealing permanent bans
Not when it comes to this topic?
Well I have to be honest - i am screen archer by nature. I do at times memory hack games that do not have free camera feature. I also love analog photography. So this is my nature. I have been tempted to use some ‘tools’ for cool screenhots in wow. And I have used free camera in wow-retail version of game, which is not allowed by default, but can be used IF you ask Blizzard beforehand, and you have like whole bullet list where you can or cannot use the free camera. I.e. if you use it in raid, I had to ask people. was not allowed to use it in BG/any PvP zone, and was told they are cautious, but allow me the use for X, Y and Z location I especially asked.
So curiousity is not a bad thing and often best is just to ask THEM. free camera, for example was allowed to be used because its was also machima tool used to make videos and Blizzard has been favouring fan arts and fan creations. More so for me to able to use free camera in live game - they had senior staff members included ino that dialogue.
Long story short, I see nothing wrong people asking about morphs, reshades and what not programs. I know PvE people use 3rd party logic for combat and better feedback for key-pressing and command queues - which allows better damage/healing output in raids.
… and most people posting on forums would think that only multiboxers use tricks like multi keypress. Wrong.
The issue comes when they use something that can get them banned. They also use those morph programs for other advantages which is why they are banned in the first place.
What do you mean by this? I am a one keypress = 1 action boxer.
For most of WoD streamers were using t-morph live on their stream. can’t recall hearing about anyone that actually ever got banned for it.
