I have now seen that Blizzard have rolled out WoW Classic, Classic BC, Classic Wotlk and now Classic Cataclysm! Which is really exciting for me as a relativly new player to experience old WoW. If i had to guess, MoP is coming next which i am EXTREMLY excited about because leveling through MoP is my favorite and i love pandaren. But i just have one question, will legion be coming to classic WoW? As a new player, Legion seemed so fun and cool, the class order hall, the artifact weapons actually having a use and all of legion. I would love to experience legion and actually play the expansion. Does anyone know or have guess if it will?
Nobody knows how far they will go with the Classics. I have friend eagerly awaiting MoP Classic.
We didn’t even know if we’d make it to Cataclysm. But here we are.
As long as it gains enough interest I think it will carry on existing. They also keep finding ways to have versions of Vanilla. We’ve seen Classic, SoM, Hardcore and now SoD.
Considering every classic expansion lasts about a year we simply don’t know yet. Would people even want to play WoD classic? We and even Blizzard have no way of knowing that.
mop was amazing xpac I hope it comes back. If it does make sure to play it. It was lovely and fun xpac both in terms of pve and pvp.
After legion who introduced the bread and butter to the new retail formula all the new retail expansions are the same with mega dungeon patch and now season of fate in last patch.
WOD is better than Cataclysm and has better raids and dungeons, neither are “Classic”. Legion was the birth of modern retail WoW, and the most grindy expansion of all time.
I guess it will eventually, but it’s a ways off. First we need to get through Cata, then MoP, then WoD, and then finally you’ll get Legion. Expect it in 4-5 years.
Personally, I think the hunger for Classic Legion is essentially 0. Well, 1 obviously, but near 0.
if only the game was like ffxiv where you are forced to level in these expansions at a slow pace. then these classics wouldn´t be a thing and wasted on.
You mean in Shadowlands? It wasn’t required to power up your character. It was mostly for cosmetics.
I never grinded Anima in Shadowlands, I mostly ignored it.
I did dislike Renown, Conduits and Torghast though.
