then why does it never happen ?
Does it never happen? Who says that?
have you ever experienced it or seen it ?
I remember someone mentioning here on the forums in a previous season getting 7 or 8 items in a row. I am myself not counting. Not interested.
My current main char is also 19 dungeon runs in, and definitely got some useable loot. Allthough some stuff is in the potential-bag because it needs upgrading.
Random will randomly feel scheduled at random times.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ![]()
true random is too random, thats what i have heard before in systems like this. think it was in shuffle mode for ipods.
Believe what you want,weâre not going to convince you otherwise woth logic or facts.
Nor would it matter if we do.
none of has any facts though.
we have no idea what goes on behind the scene at all.
Well, you can search for âhow random is random in codeâ if you are interested. Because i am too much of a programmer to say it is 100% random.
A quote: " Random number generators are typically software, pseudo random number generators. Their outputs are not truly random numbers . Instead they rely on algorithms to mimic the selection of a value to approximate true randomness."
For the human experience it is truly random though.
If a group of 5 people who all got an item last run group together and do a key then 2 of them will get 2 items in a row. Thereâs no real way to reconcile some sort of loot cooldown with the fact there are always at least 2 drops and a group can be comprised of any 5 people with any possible loot history.
ye can be right, and most likely are. but i wouldnt be surprised if there was some sort of system.
A system to do what, exactly? What is blizzard aiming for?
The thing people donât really get is the odds of a given item in mythic+ / how to express the drop rates of given items over multiple runs. Say you want a 1/8 drop chance item. Thatâs 1/8 and a 2/5 which is 1/20. 20 runs however only yields a 62% chance of having acquired at least one of those items in those 20 runs. To have an 80% probability of having acquired it youâd need 32 runs, and ofc the individual chance of any run yielding the item is never any better than 1/20.
You can probably repost that here
I only mentioned the chance for a specific is very low.
to limit too much luck, and too much bad luck obviously.
Which brings us to question why have random drops then instead of tokens to exchange
because tokens only would be boring.
Another reason why u should begin to raid ![]()
I consider a lack of a reward or a useless reward that is not even a sidegrade to be more boring.
Those who enjoy the gatcha the most have moved on to mobile games that are built around it.
There are already rewards that come from currencies, such as crafts. If the whole game is suddenly all currencies then things become predictable to the point where you make a plan of exactly what to upgrade and in which order.
For PvP where you have literally no control of the loot table due to the whole loot table coming from one activity that may be alright, especially since itâs so small, but in PvE where there are hundreds of items it can lead to choice paralysis and itâs also not necessary when you can target dungeons and therefore rewards, and just the sense of a grind may come about when you know that âoh itâs just 12 more dungeons of at least level 21 yaaawnâ. Itâs better off with random loot, even if it sometimes plays tricks on you.
