Is my account in danger because of false reports in WoW?

people who blindly belive only in "justified " reports are the same people who support stuff like social scoring in China and what is currenly happening in UK .

Clearly and “obviously” abusing the system ( for ex. Reporting someone who said nothing for spamming or being insulting) should IMO be an instant one month ban with a permaban on the second infraction within 1 year.

I have personally never gotten ny bans or even warnings ingame, But I also haven´t posted in /1 or /2 in something like 10 years now, basically the day the report system was introduced.

Not because I´m a bad actor per se, but because I did customer support for way too long and as a result wound up having to justify doing my job properly on a near weekly basis, purely as a result of unfounded complaints to management, to still have any sort of trust in random people i don´t know, other than trusting them to behave like brain-amputated bonobos … and that trust has so far never been betrayed, either.

And if people are willing to potentially risk someone´s livelihood and job just because they feel slighted by the rules and basics of reality also applying to them, then I don´t even want to iimagine the level of idiocy that will be displayed when these things aren´t on the line, much less experience it.

PS: But I do very much enjoy that that job in particular has now become a revolving door after my doing it for almost 10 years, and is more often than not a vacant position… The city I live in screwed itself over real hard, and now I sit here watching, laughing about bi-monthly attempts to win me back, and drinking their tears as wine. :beers:

what the hell are you talking about?
‘blindly believe only in “justified” reports’
I don’t blindly believe in any reports, but I absolutely don’t believe in unjustified reports (unjustified == botted/out-of-spite)

When a report is made about the text channels I think there would be a timestamp and date when the report is made and likely the chat analysed. When reporting it’s a helpful thing to include realm, date and time. The best remedy to a person being antisocial towards you is not to engage in any (further) conversation putting the player on Ignore.

You get an answer about being reported when you’re notified of a ban. It’s best not to behave antisocially because then people have no valid reason to report…
