Is new season 15+ mythic the same as before the patch?

Every new season, M+ is tuned up to account for new gear. So a +15 this week will feel much harder than a +15 last week, indeed. Once you have the same level of gear you had in late S2, +15s will feel equally trivial.

Duno man try doing one and you will know. I suggest Tazavesh Gambit! :joy:

The thing with Tazavesh is that you can’t compare to previous seasons. Try a Mists instead, the scaling is very noticable there. Or SoA, where the first boss takes ages even though it does almost nothing. The hardest part there is not falling asleep.

To add something to that “much harder” stuff i want to explain something that is currently happening.

We all know the usual “scaling into a new season” that also makes m0 harder, which is fine for all of us.

But currently there is also a bug going on in the M+ when you start a key.
You can check this for yourself with a simple +2 key.
(Reminder: a +2 key doesnt increase HP%/DMG% from m0 - it only adds the affix to the mobs/bosses, which is tyrannical this week, so mobs should have same hp value)

M0 mawsworne in spires have 101k life
M2 mawsworne in spires have 132k life (rounded from system)
this is a difference of 30% which is EXACTLY the Tyrannical affix of this week.

(Reminder: M2 mobs should have same HP as M0 mobs in Tyrannical weeks)

On Bosses this is even crazier.

Usual you have the BaseHP * Scaling of Key (like f.e. 85% on a +10 key) * 1.3 (Tyrannical)

Blightbone in ToP has 883k Base HP Value
So with regular math it should be: 883k * 1,85 * 1,3 → 2.124 million HP

But currently it is: 883k * 1,85 * 1,3 * 1,3 (double Tyrannical affix!) which results in 2.781 million HP

I have already reported this as a bug because i dont want to look forward to double fortified affix next week!

It’s not a bug, imo. They scaled M0 far lower than in previous seasons, and instead, scaled keys up. This results in m0 being easier than in previous seasons, but keys being a little harder. Instead of ~3-3.5 key levels, the amount our keys went down into the season, it’s more like 5. That’s roughly the same amount keys scaled in BfA.

The bug here, in my opinion, is that keys went down 3 levels rather than 5, not the scaling. That set people’s expectations differently than it should have been. If keys went down 5 levels, noone would have batted an eye on the scaling.

I do like that m0 is considerably easier than keys, mind you, that’s a good change. They should’ve communicated their intentions and explain the scaling though.

Can you show me the patchnotes/refrence/whatsoever where your statement is sentenced by blizzard? i looked for it and didnt found anything.

Blizz haven’t made any reference to it as far as I’m aware. Wowhead have reported it as an undocumented change, which means we don’t have anything definitive to say whether it’s intended or a bug.

There is no statement either way. Hence, whether the scaling is a bug or intentional, is a matter of opinion.

It’s the kind of change that doesn’t feel like unintentional to me. From season to season, they could just follow their previous procedure if they wanted to, but they did not. That seems intentional. It’s more than just one number being set too high, it’s the scaling being done differently.

Did a 13 and it really felt like an 18 boss in there took so long.

Indeed. I just looked up my recording of a SoA+16, and the boss only took 2m43s, but deer god, it felt ten times that. So amazingly boring. It doesn’t help that the bird keeps flying around, so it will just fly out of any ground targeted effects, and if you can’t relocate them, there goes your damage.

Yeah, they seem to have adjusted everything to be more difficult this season compared to normal…maybe to offset the fact we’ll have two legendaries, etc. soon.

or make stuff last longer, mind you they gona announce next expac in april, meening you have a good 8 to 10 months of this patch to do now.

Last season was way more fun. There are several things increasing the difficulty. Missing shards, 2 leggo tuning, tsets… It’s the most time gated patch we got so far

It’s tuned for gear you don’t have yet. Plus, the new affix doesn’t boost player power as much as previous affixes did. The buffs are too weak and too short.
