Is playing two accounts without any multiboxing software/hardware mechanisms now bannable now with the recent changes?

I recent came across the following reply from Gamemaster Grnnfindel, and this is a direct quote

Gamemaster Gronnfindel here, I hope you had a nice day so far.

I assume that you read our recent update regarding multiboxing and it is quite clear:

“We will now addtionally prohibit the use of all software and hardware mechanisms to mirror commands to multiple World of Warcraft accounts at the same time, or to automate or streamline multi-boxing in any way. Players found to be in violation of this policy are subject to account acctions. […] We urge all players to cease using any means of mirroring gameplay across multiple WoW accounts immidiately, in order to maintain uninterrupted access to World of Wacraft.”

So no matter which specific sofware you use, all multiboxing software is no longer allowed*. would recommend that you cancel all your subscriptions for your additonal WoW accounts because you will no longer be allowed to use several WoW accounts simultaneously. If you do risk warnings, account suspensions or even a permanent closure of all your WoW accounts.*

I hope this answers your question, have a great day and stay safe!

I 100% understand that any use of software and hardware mechanisms for multi-boxing purposes is no longer allowed. However, the last part of it states that one should cancel their 2nd accounts… I have never used any software or hardware mechanisms for multi-boxing ever, but I have used 2 accounts for longer period of time which has enriched my gameplay. Is this no longer allowed? This is a response from a GM, but I would love to hear from an offical blueposter whether me and my friends playing classic are in danger. Most of us have 2 accounts for various reasons, such as mails, alts, boosting one self etc… all of which can be used without using any software or hardware mechanisms. Is this bannable now? Can I no longer use my mage on my 2nd account to boost my other character who is standing afk by the entrance in SM and Mara?

Thanks in advance.

Judging by the blue post on this forum, it says nothing about having multiple accounts active at once that aren’t multiboxing.

I read that has having a second account playing at the same time as your first account is allowed as long as nothing is being automated.

Indeed but they should do something about players using multiple accounts (even not automated) for farming.

On my server a players has 16 accounts, most them of them are rogues camping every black lotus spots in Burning Steppes for hours.

Also yesterday I’ve seen a priest auto-followed by 4 or 5 mages in Silithus, AOE farming Dust Stormers.

I agree. It should be one account per person online at any one time.

Multiboxing is allowed but using ANY software or hardware to automate any of it is now breaking the rules, that includes addons.

The battlenet client allows you to open up multiple instances at the same time on the same PC, with different accounts and allows them to both log in to WoW at the same time.
So multiboxing in that sense is fine.
You have multiple screens or you minimise the screens so you can see them both at the same time and then manually select the window with the character you want and press the associated key to the skill manually, then that is 100% allowed.
