Is spell resistance bugged atm?

So far today, I’ve had spells resisted so much in pvp and pve I feel like it just has to be bugged somehow. Nearly 10-20% of all my spells are getting resisted. Anyone else feel this after the latest update?

The same , had 1v1 with sl warlock, resisted 3 times shadowburn in a row …

Wow that’s exactly the same I’m getting, every coil, every shadowburn, everything is getting resisted, even dots. I think they screwed something up with shadow resist since the latest patch.

A friend of mine just complained he got every frost shock resisted in some AV. I’m not playing a caster class and I haven’t verified his claims so take it with a grain of salt, but it does seem to match your experience.

As for the shadow resistance, paladins have an aura called shadow resistance aura which might explain it. Couple it with the engineering shadow reflect trinket, and the SR becomes quite high for pvp.

These kinds of things are related to spell hit as well, and of course the frost reflect engineering trinket. There’s also the random unlucky streak you can encounter.

I’m not saying the engineering trinkets’ on-use effects were used, since that’d reflect, but they have the raw resistance stat on them for the school they can reflect as well.

I have lots of t1 and other items ready for when I face warlocks. Resisting quite a bumch of spells now and then.

i gave up as holy paladin using offensive spells, too much resists.

enjoy that

we melees get

PARRY DODGE MISS MISS PARRY DODGE etc

You miss? Get the hit cap so you won’t miss. Then you just need to try and get behind targets in pvp to avoid the parry/dodge, although in pve, targets can always dodge.

I’ve had an orc warr resist, consecutively, the following: swp, mb, fear and smite. In the meanwhile he crit me 4 times in a row and I’m dead. After ressing I got him and had 0 rezists. So I guess it’s the god of rng…

MY normal lightbolts hit often… But since two weeks my chain Lightning and shocks get resisted alot, specialy vs mages and Hunters (3 spell resisted in A row)
And i got decent gear myself and the +hit skills my tree gives

I am well aware how it’s supposed to work, you’ll find however it doesn’t work like that because of I assume bad coding, you’ll often be behind players or pve mobs and they dodge / parry etc.

but yes, assuming things worked as they are supposed to work, you should be behind targets as often as humanly possibly etc

This started to happen a few weeks ago but now it seems to have been corrected for my mage, but my Enhancement shaman is having swinging problems a lot more.

it started when BGs were released.
