the same happend in sod, when more players played alliance and was locked, means u only can make Horde chars, and at the end it means that u will see more bots on the “faction” what is open
so with the “faction balance change” one faction will have 20-25% more bots at the end
Orcs, trolls and Tauren all naturally go to Ashenvale. Even as undead you move to the barrens around lvl 12 to do RFC and then also can go to Ashenvale.
For alliance there is no good reason to go to Ashenvale. Only nelf has that as a natural progression. Dwarfs, gnomes and humans have much eaiser access to westfall, redridge, duskwood with the tram. Also deadmines and stockade is right there. So it is not surprising at all that horde is dominant in ashenvale.
Regarding hillsbrad, as I said, it really depends on who controls the farming spots. Horde i believe have more quests towards the farm area, however alliance can take control if they want.
Im playing horde on spineshatter and getting ganked hard by alliance. I feel its balanced
I felt it was a relatively equal split (call it 55/45 Horde/Alliacne) - until I went to STV and it was wall to wall Horde. Maybe this was just bad timing/layering all this weekend, but it felt like there were 2-3 Horde on every pack of quest mobs, with roaming warriors/rogues/shaman ganking you if you tried to fight anything.
I’m left wondering if I just write off the zone (SM farming to 40ish is probably quicker anyway). By contrast in the other zones it felt numbers swung back and forth which you’d expect if numbers were relatively close.
The popular solution in previous iterations has been to re roll horde or play alliance on a PvE server. Then the problem solves itself when the server is horde only.
I’m interested to see how well blizzards balancing solution works.
Faction balance does not work at all.
People roll pvp as a Horde. Horde side is closed. Bots need to create new characters as fast as possible to get as much money as they can. So they roll Alliance. Real people sit in guild/community discords with notifications about when Horde is open. They snipe the queue. Bots keep creating more Alliance.
Its SoD all over again
I am playing on a PvE realm for the first time in my life, and the pleasure is hard to put to words. I just recently entered Ashenvale, and for the first 15 min or so, I was just waiting for the camping and corpserunning to begin, and it never came. I was always one of those passive players on a PvP realm because in 2004 someone told me it’s the only way to play the game correctly. Now I tried PvE because I’m old and tired, and it’s like taking a horse hair shirt or spiked choker off, like… By Elune, are you telling me I can play this game and not act as an entertainment/punching bag for psychopaths for over half of my playtime? Why didn’t I do this in 2005?!

psychopaths had 14-20years old back in those days (easy), 2024 psychopaths got 30-40years old now (more organized madness and armed to the teeths with S.W.A.T. vocals)
yeah i noticed it, alliance have allot of Botters already, and some of these bots are already 60
i find 5 Hunter bots per Area while im leveling.

for one you dont hate to cry because youve gone out of your way to post on a forum about PVP on a PVP server. 2 ive been playing since release and dont have an issue with it at all and thirdly stop being such a b&!ch
i feel the other way around all lvls 30-50 are ali crowded, stv, arathi, desolace, ALL i always see 8-9 alis per 1 horde
