In this present crisis, Sylvanas is not the solution to our problems; she IS the problem. In fact, she ignited herself a war, knowing the boy king is a peacemonger and therefore, would never answer to such war of agression.
She is the TRUE agressor here and the only reason she’s still alive is a plot armor. A really really rock solid one indeed.
Most of the old cast has the same amount of plot armor. Let’s not pretend Sylvanas is the only one.

I liked Sylvannas in Warcraft 3 and Early WOW but ever since Wotlk her story arc went down the pipes.

She was being controlled by lich king then killed lich king, then killed her self and probably got tortured by the jailer and enslaved before being resurrected, she was always being controlled by the jailer not the lich king.
I honestly haven’t seen enough hints that this is the case. Sylvanas seems to act on her own…
That doesn’t mean they can’t pull a scenario like this, which would be quite disappointing for everyone I think.
It would literally scream “Hey guys we messed up and had no idea how to fix this. You can blame this big bald guy, it’s all his fault. He also comes with a legendary weapon. We cool, yeah?”
Sylvanas has done absolutely nothing wrong. Alliance deserves to get burned to the ground. Especially gnomes but night elfs are fine too. It’s a shame Deathwing didn’t obliterate the whole Stormwind.

That is not true, or least never came to be true - in Before the storm we get Anduins subjective thought snippet how this could be used to heal and do miracles alongside with its destructive nature. Also his politics was to gap the bridge not to instigate the war.
That was only after the war has started and Horde has thrown a massive glove at Alliance feet by opening fire towards Night Elves. In the act of response Alliance had to mobilise their forces and answer in kind in tech as well.
That part alone is a mastermind move by her side and it was brilliantly executed by using alliances own spies to spread misinformation. But the problem is not that, but the fact that after Horde has secured the land and there was no one to resist them - she deliberatly went after civilian city who has surrendered or were forced to. On one little but very important factor - she was triggered by a dying elf who managed to get into her skin. So her making that move was what made Horde look so ugly in WoT.
Just plain slaughter of race regardless their ability to fight back or not.
War was purely pulled out of Sylvanas’ @ss because she appearantly had other plans that didn’t include Horde’s wellbeing.

That popular theme is but not really true - you get to go to a place according to what kind of life you lead when alive. Plus countless other realms that are not shown in game.

Choice is but an illusion, see thing with Sylvanas is that she has led very shady life for whatever intentions and guaranteed herself a afterlife of torment and now she tried to change that by breaking down the system and creating a new one with a promise of Choice - illusion. Her whole plan really crumbles down easily even with Anduin as she gives that illusion of he is free to make his own decision while he inevitably will serve! Even her new system already has cracks in its foundation since what she preaches isnt actually true and replacing one rabid dog with another doesnt really solve the issue. Her whole arc now is escaping the consequences of her own actions. Those Night Elven or any other dead souls never had a choice but maw’s suffering. Mind it Sylvanas is not alone in this and Jailer is far more forcful and direct then her. What guarantee do you have that you wont be plaything for next power in charge such as Zoval - so tell me what choice are we talking about?
This expansion is another Chaos vs Order - Good vs evil, that has been covered many times.
