I missed those expansions completely, internet spaceships were way too serious business for me at that time, but I would love to watch more of Defias history - Vengeful PvP youtube channel has more videos, but is there other guilds/pov? google-fu showed nothing…

Btw, are any of the players in the video still playing? I looked at names in raid frames and I don’t think I saw any in current game.

You’ll have to do some digging through for smaller fights but if you’re looking for some more footage here’s a variety of views. Xavalis (Solo shaman vids + WPvP archive from guild Dominion) and Doomsday (small 5man groups mostly) will have more footage of smaller groups.

There’s lots more under individual users’ profiles. Lots of opinions will fly around about the state of the server and community during MoP & WoD but it’s safe to say the server was a lot more active for world PvP back then regardless.

As far as players still in the game… The core of VM have moved on, players from each guild can be found dotted around still continuing with WPvP or otherwise just getting what they can out of the game.

I’m unsure, I see a bunch of people have expressed interest and hope it’ll be better than live servers, but there’s not much in the way of organisation yet. I may have missed it though as classic doesn’t really take my interest.

Already do! Old school WPvP videos are my favorite kind, haha
At this point, with all the changes to current game, I think MoP can be considered Old School, at least it sure looks like it.

I am sure that people will play classic longer than 2 months and if they are bored they will not return to BFA, but quit wow for good.

Unless the next expansion changes to be more like classic/tbc due to the popularity of vanilla I won’t be coming back.
In the end it’s a waste of cash and i can spend it on other things.

I did infact participate in few wpvp guilds in MoP for a while, including those big battles and when Horde decided to steal the alliance PvP vendor by mindcontrolling and pulling him into an underwater cave in the start of a new season.
