Is the average Alliance player really worse than average Horde player?

Hey guys, my friend wanted to play paladin this season and since I played Horde my life, I felt at first out of place, but then I just started to immerse myself as… myself since I played human lmao.

Jokes aside, I’ve been delging into PvP and PvE, I haven’t gotten to 40 yet, but I did play through phase 1.

Currently, I am at a 35% winrate in WSG and when I asked my friends what was up with that, they almost all universally said that Alliance are generally worse players than your average Horde player.

I notice that there were some pro Alliance players, like there was a godmode flag carrier which managed us to score against a pug back in phase 1, but most of the time, I was screaming at my screen, writing in chat to beg people to stop going mid and stop chasing useless kills to no avail.

I have searched online if it is true, and generally Alliance seem to be the pun of the joke a lot of time when PvP is brought up. Even Blizzard recognised it in Retail when they introduced mercenary mode, so Horde players could queue up as Alliance: “you’re welcome Alliance” it said on the big screen at Blizzcon when this was revealed.

Well, from my experience, Alliance are indeed worse. I went back to check on my retail Horde character, and my statistics are a 60% winrate all across the battlegrounds, with the expections of Alterac Valley and Isle of Conquest. (both Battlegrounds which favor the Alliance). I did every battleground 100+ times on my character so it’s not from just a “minor” data.

Anyway… I am starting to regret playing Alliance. My friend are all trying to talk me out of it by saying “there’s more to the game than battlegrounds”, but here I am, enjoying PvP, and I can’t enjoy PvP. I’m straight up having a bad time.

Some flaws that Alliance seem to have more:

  • too scared to engage
  • scatter, won’t stay together
  • support classes won’t assist you
  • people get distracted by chasing one guy all the way across the BG
  • almost no healers

I’ve been doing a few WSG’s on my “twink”, and the winrate today was 17 losses and 2 wins.
I’m seriously considering deleting my Alliance and rerolling Horde on the same realm…

Join us, Horde is always the best choice!

i rather beeing a big sweaty orc man, with a sweaty shirt and some and chips on his stomach

theres nothing better, than beeing a sweaty orc , why beeing a litte cute looking nightelf, when u can play orc?

Actually, you shouldn’t think about it, just delete alliance and come to horde

i reallized the same, at p1 i lost more games than i won “rnd” but i think because of the premades, but with p2 i win so many games in ab as an horde player

Horde players write in the chat, communicate each other, doing tactics, they are also more coordinated, i getting more support from them, idk i never had this on alliance

So I am just going to project here but yeah probably. I dont like to do PvP, especially open world, much and dont engage in it much, even when the situation is to clear advantage.

My impression is largely the same as yours though, horde seems to have some more “swarm intelligence” and even I find myself more willing to participate in situations if they arise and its not something like chasing two to three dudes down with an advantage in numbers.

Also playing undead rogue or mage sort of demands the demise of the living. Its bad enough half of them are on your side.

Yep this pretty much sums up alliance.

9/10 bg’s you will not have a single healer on your team.

Alliance players never stick together. As a warlock I depend on having a good frontline to hide behind otherwise I just get trained. This never happens ofcourse, as soon as a fight engages all the teammates around me scatter off to narnia before I can finish my first cast and all the hungry shamans sprint toward me with no interruption.

Alliance players dont understand the meaning of peel either. its a concept lost to them entirely.

And yeah very scared to engage. It’s a problem when the melee classes sit in the back and us cloth casters have to be the frontline to initiate the engagement.

Alliance is pretty much trash and I lose about 80% of the AB matches I join.

I play on a PvE server.

I wonder why

Because i don’t want my time wasted by griefers and generally rude people.

Imagine the SM entrance being hostile PvP zone instead of like 60 people just standing around and summoning members.

Its like that on PvP servers infront of SM, people dont generally want to flag themselves for PvP there.

As for the time wasting, you would rather allow some opposite faction bot waste your time farming nodes and mobs? So much better when you can delete them and get the resources for yourself instead of having your time wasted by an automated script, dont you think? Your report does nothing.

And if its not a bot, this game is WARcraft. There is no WAR in dragonslaying. But im not here to tell you how to play the game and have fun. But if you are gonna badmouth PvPers because you are mad you lack the skills to win the PvP engagement, you’ll get the forum PvP experience instead

I would not know. I’ve never tried.

I just hear about how you sit on people for hrs and kill them as soon as they ress or until they unsub from the game.

You are toxic trash and i wish you’d leave.

I do not do any of those things. Keep your assumptions to yourself and git gud, keep wishing, coping, and seething

All PvPers are like that, Especially those that enjoy ”World” PvP aka hunt down lvl 20’s when you’re 40.

This is what you do, This is what all PvPers do and that’s why i hate them.

Just waste people time out of spite and rudeness.

If heard the stories of what your kind did during the first classic era.

There was also a time when they released the ”Fresh” servers, Somehow a guy was able to transfer a Death knigh to that server and since most people were not even 30 at that point this guy could uncontested sit and kill people in SM for 8 hrs straight.

You PvPers are scumm

Projecting real hard with that spite arent we? Someone must have hurt you real bad. Not my problem

I just get angry when you deny what your klnd is doing and all crimes they commit as if you do not admit to enjoying that activity as well by simply saying you enjoy PvP.

and no, i do not play on a PvP server, I never will.

All my Information is from things i’ve seen or read people talk about

And I hear and read that the earth is flat. Is that true? Should I believe it, just because someone told me its true? I have my own head on my shoulders. I dont deny such people exist, but they are few and far inbetween the normal PvP enjoyer.

I for example usually kill alliance, but yesterday I saw a NE war that was going to die to mobs. I sheeped him to heal while I killed the mobs for him and let him live

But please, bury your head in the sand and keep whining about stuff you know nothing about, this is the blizzard forum after all where such behaviour is the norm

rofl ignore the troll Shmirgel … he flames on every post. Something going on irl for him … very sad
