Is the Nexus-Princess Ky'veza Suppose to be a Unfairly Cheap?

This is week what, 4, going into 5?

That’s a 720 weapon and a 720 on any other slot you choose.

A 720 weapon is a huge amount of power compared to 700~ one.

Also idk… is it strange that getting to within spitting distance of the best gear in the game for doing largely trivial content would take ages?

I’d say the problem is the lack of intermediate challenge for solo content for players who know how to play. It’s like 90% of soloable stuff just require us to hit autoattack and maybe dodge 1 ability per 30 seconds, 8% are just hp-sponges where one’s skill is only expressed in dps output, and the last 2% are content full of one-shots or two-shots.

The above is also further compounded by the fact that quite a lot of what we call “solo content” can be done in groups, like Delves for example. Very few limited achievements exist for attempting something entirely solo.

Even Weathered Crests are hard to come by, I only have 920 at the moment.

31 gilded a week from delves is standard, that is exactly on pace with crafted items which is what you’d spend them on.

Weathered are in pretty short supply, agreed. I’m not sure why exactly because it’s not like there’s much meaningful to use them on when you skip to champ track so quickly.

Actually the best source of weathered is the Oasis daily quests. Thinks it’s 5 per quest and there’s like 5 quests a day?

Weathered are only usefull the first few hours in Karesh :smirk:

They should have the option of buying higher crests with lower ones. Not the inverse.

…my joke fell flat :frowning:

I have 920 weathered crests. The current seasonal maximum is 450.

This literally exists. When you “outgrow” the use of one tier of crests, you can exchange them for higher tier

Ah ye. You get a bunch over cap from handing in rep turn ins. That’s pretty standard though.

Delvers could have 450 Runed, 450 Carved, and 124 gilded rn.

I have a friend on NA who I tend to use as a Barometer for what’s possible as a solo only / delve player at any given point. They’re 700 ilvl rn with a 671 heroic trinket from last tier they can’t seem to part with. And a 720 weapon.

Are you sure? I only see the option of buying lower ones?
From the guy next to the ‘upgrader’.

He does 200 delves a week?

100% positive. I already have unlocked the Weathered->Carved conversion.

When you no longer need Weathered Crests, which happens when you have at least an item of item level 678 in every slot (not average 678, you must have equipped an item of at least ilvl678 in every slot, including 2 different rings and 2 different trinkets), then Vaskarn lets you trade 45 Weathered Crests for 15 Carved ones (3-to-1 conversion).

Then when you have at least 691 in every slot, you can exchange 45 Carved for 15 Runed.
And when you have at least 704 in every slot, you can exchange 45 Runed for 15 Gilded.

-=EDIT=-
The armory shows you with a 665 wrist equipped. Get any item of 678 there, and you will unlock the first conversion along with the relevant feat of strength

I just checked on my 693 ‘alt’. Indeed theres the option for turning in weathered.
Thanks for the info! :grinning:

Your alts then also get a crest discount, an upgrade costing 10 instead of 15. So once you outgrow weathered, they get a discount for them. The carved and so on, goes all the way up to gilded.

Nah, 3 11s a week. Summons Kyveza on the 3rd to get the map to activate for the extra 10 gilded. Then might do a couple more bountifuls here and there throughout the week for runed but not too fussed about it.

Maybe 5 delves on that char a week? Which would be less than the number of keys they get.

Personally, I don’t see the harm in group content in an MMO. there are plenty of single player games out there.

and the game has more than enough group content.

Nor do I, and there’s a lot of it. But if I want to do something that has some teeth on my own time and at my own pace that option isn’t there.

No, you are correct.

We now get zones like K’aresh which is void of content and depth. Whereas we used to get zones like Nazjatar and Zereth Mortis, with enough solo content to keep us busy for months.

Looks like the WoW encounter team are merging with Diablo IV’s boss Echo team, especially whoever designed Lillith.

But aren’t you just so glad to see exciting hard content that just makes you fall to your knees and praise the encounter as one of the best boss fights in the entire history of video games??!!

No me neither.
One shot mechanics, especially more than one, is lazy programming and shows the developers have no idea on how to make an interesting and engaging fight so they just throw in one shots because “Dark Souls is popular innit. Everybody loves a one shot.”

I can solo Teir 11 Delves. Its not that low. (Without even losing a single life.)

This is the best advice I’ve ever heard anyone on this forum say.

This isn’t really a measure of anything. Regular delves are tuned extremely low. Gear just makes them a bit faster. I’ve been doing T11s of my 640 rogue.

Unfortunately Blizz gave everyone enough tools to survive / recover from basically anything that isn’t a 1 shot. We have too many defensives, too much recovery, and even our own pocket healer in brann so damage that doesn’t kill you just kinda ends up being meaningless. Damage just isn’t a threat anymore so they need to do something else.

You could, for example, have a bar that depletes when you take avoidable damage from certain mechanics and if it reaches 0 the attempt is over. Oh wait! We had that, it was called sanity and it was so hated by the casual playerbase it’s never coming back.

I just wish the version of Ky’veza that randomly spawns in ongoing Delves wasn’t just as cheap as the purely optional version in its own Delve, people can decide “This is too cheap to be fun, i won’t bother” with the optional version, all they can do in regular Delves is shrug and go “Guess i’ll die”.

Especially since half the Delves are pretty dark (So the shadow-clones are difficult to see), and since S1, the random spawns prefer happening mid-fight with other mobs, or in areas that are either cramped or full of ground stuff (Also obscuring what’s happening), it shouldn’t be as punishing as it is now, when Ky’veza does decide to spawn.
