Secondly he ask on forums how to block people while he could do a research . (Any intelligent being in 2024 can do a google research ) , As someone that is So good is funny how he ask randoms for Help
3rd he brags so much about Rio Score
At the end all of his posts is somehow related to others vs Him .
I don’t think anyone should be afraid to ask something on the forums.
I so detest the ‘just google it’ response. Let people socially interact with others and ask questions. If you don’t want to answer people in game or on the forums, that’s fine.
Hes using the question as a subtext to crap on people. It’s not a genuine question since we know people with his massively impressive rio score can surely master google.
There’s a story about pots and kettles to be told here.
There wasn’t a need for it but with some you just know it’ll be there regardless. Often it comes with a degree of playing the victim on top despite it being a lack of reflecting on how they’re presenting themselves.
Doesnt matter how anythings is phrased when youre branded by the people that think they run the forum. They’ll just follow, flag and antagonize regardless.
A post has to be rule breaking. I’ve had the odd post buried but if there is nothing rule breaking I don’t get a ban.
Disagreeing with someone is not a reason to flag something. Some things are more subjective and will come down to a judgement call. Like trolling. But stuff like insuting or threatening others, bypassing the language filter etc are just straightforward usually. You’re breaking the rules.
The question is should flagging someone for no reason result in some form of punishment? Or at least in taking away a person’s ability to flag posts or things in WoW?
These actions can lead to post being automatically hidden, or players being muted, so isn’t that a form of griefing which is against tos?
I think there is flagging in good faith. It’s hard with the subjective categories, like the example I gave, trolling or maybe even spam.
If something is being mass flagged by alts of one person, or a few alts to get something buried, then the person doing it should be punished.
I haven’t seen anyone being automatically muted on the forums. That’s new if that is the case.
Burying a post because you don’t like the person is not flagging in good faith. This does happen occasionally but the bulk of posts I see flagged I can see why they have been buried. On the other hand buried does not mean it’s not read and it certainly doesn’t stop people reading them.
Only if done to an excessive degree, though from what i remember that is banable already or at least falls under the umbrella of harrassment.
They can’t make flagging outside of that punishable because some of it will be subjective, such as trolling like Puny pointed out, and in general they want players to feel like they can flag things if needed without fearing that a “false” flag can backfire on them. The forum would turn into a place with even further lacking moderation if those posting don’t feel like they can flag something in the first place, even if the post clearly is breaking one or more forum rules.
