Is this bannable?

I found this post in reddit where a guild in the classic server Ashbringer kept the BWL attunement mob kidnapped, and made a puzzle so people could find him.

They consider this a fun event but, if I’m not mistaken, impeding other players gaming, specially by using exploits, is agains the terms of use.

I heard they even tried to sell the release for gold. Awsome:rofl::joy::joy:
Ransom for a npc. You just cant make that up.
People are too easy to upset.

That is how you build a good realm community btw

That is absolutely brilliant. Fair play to them for creating a fun & interactive event for the server. I think it’d be an issue if this mob was released the day before BWL but it’s over a month away.

True although i imagine some people/guilds made plans to do this today. I made plans to do it with 3 friends, if and a few guildies if when we logged on it was not possible we’d probably be a little annoyed. It’s almost like logging in to raid molten core at set time and having the server be down

Buufckinghuu…

These guys made a funny event. Now you still have over 1 month to complete the attunement which roughly takes 1h.

I start to be really bored of people that ask if everything is “bannable”, “against ToS”, or whatever.

Can you just play the game and enjoy it like it is ? If people do that, do the puzzle, and find it. If you don’t have the BWL attunements, you don’t deserve to enter into BWL.

WoW is not a bureaucracy.

If we were going that way, then luring bosses to towns or farming quest mobs would also be bannable…

I dont think that you can get banned for that and i certainly dont think that you should be. From my point of view it’s just a harmless prank. Sure it prob was annoying for some players but on the other hand it brought a smile to a lot of faces too.

I think that only acts that harm the game should warrent a ban. Like boting for example.

Haha awesome thing. I think if a guild do this as a one time thing, they won’t risk anything.

But now we have to take into consideration the toxic Classic population (see phase 2). When (and not if) a dominating guild will abuse this for days / weeks to get gold, they will be mass reported and banned. As it would deny gameplay for others on a server.

The only reason why wpvp champs did not get banned in p2 is precisely because of the “pvp” exception. This prank, if abused, would be a banable offence.

Yes it is. But Blizzard allowed mass griefing for weeks so I doubt anything will be done. On a side note that admirable and pathetic at the same time.

Well they where gloating and mocking people as they where camping flight masters 24/7 so they drove people to PvP in BGs. Now the same people that griefed and loved it cry about losing a 40 v 40. It’s funny in way.

I wonder how you’d react if you where getting killed every time you land and after that camped as much as possible. If you try to farm some mobs and can’t because someone is corps camping you. Or if you wanted to attune yourself for the raid but can’t because some jackasses decided to not let you for kicks.

Thats awesome actually.

Oh common, don’t start the snowflakes about ganking. You are on PvP server. Blizzard ToS said there’s nothing they can do to prevent player to do that, there’s PvE server if you can’t handle the World PvP.

You have 1 month to do the attunements. It’s not like it’s impossible to do it.

As a 1 time thing with plenty of server wide communication about it then it’s ok.

Problem is people in 2020 will now use this to exploit.

Personally if I’d logged in with the plan of getting this done and was waiting like a lemon for a spawn only to find out after far to much time that the npc was kidnapped I’d be pi**ed off.

As long as I was made aware of this happening then I’d join in.

This is the most stupid thing I’ve ever read

Alliance did the same, zug-zug.

He’s just crying about it non stop now XD.

Ye he spam this to every post, playing the innocent sheep all the time.
