A normal mythic dungeon takes less time, it’s more fun and gives better loot, It’s also insanely easy compared to torghast solo for lots of specs. I also don’t find it fun. So that’s why I’m going to have to say I dislike it.
The maw and torghast are my only dislikes of the expansion, Everything else has been great. Overall I’m happy but I wish torghast and the maw didn’t even exist.
Maw - Better than any “daily” quest zone so far, at least players not run around like mindless idiots where all enemy just lie down before thier mindless left click
Thorgast - Looks better and more promising than previous single content, li love randomness in thorgast, few day ago i rescued meatball from it, i was suprised with that easteregg
To me it is boring. Too much rng with anima powers. With my bad luck it is nightmare to clear when only anima powers you get gives more phantasma. Bfa visions were more “fun” than this torghast to me. If there were 2 floors less to clear then ok.
Yes buffing fortitude, buffing my shadow mend or having it cost no mana while others can share BL every 30 second or just flat out one shot bosses is a lot of fun.
All the youtubers sure were on to something.
I’ve hit the point with torghast that I’m basically going to ignore it, if my characters aren’t viable without legendaries then I will probably just quit.
The place is awful, even on the characters I can waltz through it on i cant bring myself to do it anymore. On a class like rogue it’s basically unplayably bad and on other classes it’s simply tedious.
I dislike that torgast difficulty comes from plain white damage from mobs. They have no mechanics, they just hit hard and there is nothing you can do about it. To add salt to injury, they get their periodic buff that eventually makes them immune to any sort of CC.
So the end result is that tank specs faceroll this, pet specs somewhat doable, squishy leather melee classes though - GG.
Anima power RNG decides everything. You can do the whole 5 floor run without problems but then face a brick wall on the floor 6 boss and it’s an hour completely wasted. Why do we even get those crappy useless powers from floor 6 vendor? I mean, exploding mawrats when there is no mawrats? Bonus for shattering urns when there are no more urns? Bonus for collecting phantasma when there is no more phantasma? This game is sometimes trolling with us.
I seriously doubt Preach and the like run Torghast solo. Why would they, when it’s more efficient and social with a group? Just like visions were. Never failed a vision when I went with friends.
Everyone gonna be happier once word gets round that Torghast is 5 man content that you can solo… if you’re desperate, and it’s Tuesday and all your friends are offline. But really, don’t solo it unless you have no other choices. It’s so much safer in a team
as tank i honestly dont understand why people are so scared to make groups in thorgasts
i guess those few initial comments about groups scaling higher then solo made then really scared to even try it.
i for example would really welcome dps who would speed up my runs - as i feel immortal there just mobs take forever to kill unless i luck out to have 2-3 good aoe dps traits.
I like Torghast, but I definitely will only be doing a single run per wing when it’s maxed. It’s too long. You can also roll a completely inept set of anima powers which will make completing the run really hard - and that feels bad. I mean, roguelikes, runs are random, I get it. But since a single run is like 40+ minutes, and you can get unlucky in it through no fault of your own - well, that’s not a good combo.
RNGhast makes me vomit due to it’s lack of variety and reward. Only the same rooms and mobs again and again, and same RNG on whether the run is completely rewardless or not.
Being forced in here as part of the campaign does not help either.
For me, Torghast is a problem of RNG. If I get the right set of powers, it is a walk in the park. If I don’t I can sit there spending more than an hour only to die and fail due to some boss having a enrage mechanic that I can’t out DPS. It is also extremely infuriating that in some wings/runs, mobs just spawn at you for being out of combat, legit what is the point of this? If you are out of combat it is probably because you are not ready for next mob.
I feel like they should tune the entire thing for your class without power ups and have far fewer and less powerful power ups in the run. There should also be dungeon equivalent loot that gets better as you progress to higher floors.
Torghast is probably some of my favorite content. I liked it as dps and now that I leveled my tank DH I am absolutely loving it. It gives me warframe vibes of being OP and just blasting through packs of mobs. Honestly it is one of those things that I actually get excited of doing at the start of each week.
