Is Torghast Fun for You?

I have fun in Torghast when I barely make it.

Getting stomped sucks, stomping the place is boring.
And which one happens is purely down to rng.
Not my jam personally, but I guess I’m having an overall okay time.

Torghast was kinda fun til the crazy nerfs, now i’m not going in there unless I have a group of friends to do this horrible thing together.

no! Torghast is not fun.
as a casual player. i blitzed through to lvl 60 far too quickly.
i’m now geared to ilvl 160(best i can do in my limited time)
cant even solo the 2nd lvl torghast boss as blood DK. wont even bother as any other spec

19 anima powers, purchased healing potion means nothing

its just lame, the whole expansion is an elitist players wet dream
its just grind grind grind, daily daily daily
easy to lvl but then the real grind starts, why even bother with the storyelements? Sylvanas has barely featured
Tyrande was very quickly forgotten

its just not fun
i appreciate a challenge, but when its impossible i very quickly lose interest, and when there is literally no reward for wandering around a drab uninspired dungeon like an environment for an hour or more only to leave with nothing and feeling very angry and frustrated

not even going to bother trying torghast with an alt, unless its a BM hunter

been playing WoW since launch and next to MoP this is the worst expansion

torghast is not rewarding enough

As an Ilvl 149 Assassination Rogue and still stuck at the floor 3 boss for completing the Baine quest, no.

It is neither fun, engaging or in any way form “great game design”.

The anima powers are extremly RNG, time and effort spent vs. outcome is zero, bosses are overtuned for what a normal player is able to do (I know my spec fully in and out, rotation and it’s strengths and weakness as I have mained this one from end of Vanilla and done both raiding, pve and pvp, so it’s not a matter of “git gud”) where even I struggle or fall short.

If I at some point manages to beat the level 3 boss and progress the covenant story, I’m not going to return to that place again in this expansion. The whole anima power RNG and inbalance of which class or specs are able to clear while others are not is too off putting for me to want to take part of.

What is worse is that they have tied this place not only to the progression of your covenant story. But to the legendaries as well. So if you don’t or in many cases can’t progress in Torghast, because of your current class or spec, you’re stuck. On top of that, you have the zero reward if you fail a run. That is such a bad game design that will turn more players away than giving them an incentive to play that part of the game.

Torghast is great! With the new difficulties being added this week (7 and 8) I am actually starting to feel some pushback from the mobs. I find myself needing to build my powers in a smarter way, while also saving defensive cooldowns for trash packs. Some of the elites even gave me a fright every now and then, but still nothing I couldn’t handle.

I look forward to the Endless mode

Reminds me of Persona 3 Tartarus. So yeah I still enjoy it

It has nothing to do with loots. The main problem with Torghast is itself.

Torghast is extremely boring and dull. Even it rewards gear, I will not do it on my chars on weekly basis. It is just not fun.

You can’t do Torghast at level 10, buddy.

Dunno… Haven’t gotten that far.

Only been playing Cyberpunk recently. :robot:

Its boring. Anima powers are often useless for what you wanna do or extremely weak. Many mobs cannot be outplayed as their autohits or cast spams are all they do. Where are the avoidable mechanics that you can outplay?

Its simple, if you waste 1h of your time because of RNG aka anima powers and not because you arent able to play mechanics properly, it feels like you got cheated. Barely any Elite Mob has mechanics that can be outplayed by movement etc. Just cast, cast, cast, cast, autohit, autohit, autohit, autohit.
Also having a class that is slow (ret, dk) feels like crap because you cant ever mount. So 50% of your time is wasted by running through corridors and then you notice that the path you took, is going to the next level but you still need more power. So you walk back all the way to clear the rest, zzzzzzzzzzzz. Sorry but its a snoozefest and i dislike it a lot. Since there is no gear farming applied to it, you couldve easiely go ham. Once you have 1 leggo, ash means almost nothing and yet it feels like a boring gear grindfest.

I like torghast, alot. It’s one of the best features in a long time. But maybe that’s just me?

It’s fine if you have nothing better to do. Sadly there’s always something better to do in WoW if you’re pushing content like M+, Raiding, or PvP.

Don’t like it. Run it on my tank solo to get it outta the way ASAP, ditto for my huntard.

I end up doing 3/5 extra runs on my tank to help guildies so more misery in that regard. It’s slow, it’s VERY cool and well designed in aesthetics and the such, but it’s just a slog.

We play wow we don’t have friends.

Torghast is perfect RP. It makes you feel like your soul slowley geting sucked out of you and all joy, love and fun leaveing your body. Perfection at simulating hell!

I think Blizzard are thinking of how all the beta streamers were saying Torghast is great and thus they can do no wrong.

Unfortunately, they’ve forgotten that they said that because it was fast, OP, and silly. Every change seems to be taking Torghast further and further away from what people liked.

(Tip for Blizz: BUFF everyone to the level of the most overpowered classes. Don’t nerf everyone down to the worst, because the worst simply cannot solo this content at all.)
