Is undercutting a bannable offense?

It is probably not but just wanted to check nevertheless. Is it?

No but some of the undercutting is just reckless and devalues actual valuable materials.

people leave mythic+ dungeons left and right with zero consequence.

You think in a game like this, undercutting your auction house stuff gets them a ban?

why would it be a bannable offense?

It’s fine, but doesn’t make sense with the new AH system. Simply relisting is enough to sell your stuff first.

No? I mean, it isn’t bannable or illegal to offer a cheaper price to someone else. Although sometimes it’s dumb.

No, but I sure would love to ban some people with how stupid they are. Undercutting for 50%-60% of the items Regional Value is just insanity when you can literally re-list it at the same exact price and achieve the same exact goal of selling first. Like, do you not want to make gold? Just vendor the item at that point, saves you time and my nerves.

The point of undercutting that big is to drive the prices down, then buy up all the cheap stock, and relist yourself. A whole lot of people don’t bother watching price curves, and will just relist at the lowest price. So if you drive down the price, that makes you able to buy everything others posted up, and relist.

If you have enough gold to buy out the entire stock, this can be a pretty profitable endeavour.

if you are so incensed with undercutters, you know you can buy the undercut stuff and re sell it for more right?

Or in my case, I have a boe and I want it to sell today rather than in some weeks. If 50k is too expensive, so is 49999… So I will price at 35k and sell it.

If a goblin buys to re list, fine by me…

Thats pretty much my ah go to strat.
I am bad with gold as you can guess but i need it all now!

That requires you to have enough gold to buy all the cheap items, and that can be a substantial sum.

Yeah that is the thing bothering me too. I am on CoA rn and their undercutting even goes below the high pop server’s usual listing and it is driving me mad at this point. But I haven’t actually seen the “last in first out” work for me though so that is where I disagree sadly.

unfortunately blizzard doesnt put set amounts on new items for AH so then things become worthless

One reason i dont do the AH even though i tried 3 months ago lol

Because people have bots running that camp the AH and they instantly undercut you when you post. I’ve tried fighting them but it’s impossible. they are too damn fast.

As it should be. Leaving is no crime.

If you can’t understand the concept of how ruining 4 other people’s run with your own selfish act, not getting punishment in an mmorpg is bad, then there’s no point to discuss things with you.

It’s fine if it’s disconnect. It’s not, when you leave.

right, but theres no way to distinguish between those two. it also works the other way round, those four other people are not entitled to the one persons time.

there is pretty much no solving this “issue”.

First of all, Easy distinguish.

Leaving once every now and then= potential dc.

Leaving more than once every now and then= Even if DC, it means the person doesn’t have a stable connection, yet insists on joining anyways, which basically is just the same as leaving.

So you don’t punish for small offense. You punish when it grows.

Problem solved.

As for 4 people aren’t entitled to one person’s time. It’s funny how ridiculous that sounds. So when 5 people join a group with the idea of clearing it in mind, and then one guy decides to leave after a wipe. You’re ok. It’s completely fine to you.

But when 4 people want that person to stay after a wipe, then they’re not entitled to that person’s time?

What a joke…

We’re not talking about people who leave after a wipe. That’s a tad bad, yes. We’re talking about cases where you’re 30 minutes in and not even on the first boss. Leaving then and there is perfectly justified.
