we need the bloody gem for alts… trying to get it for hours now…

gotta love that their primary feature of the patch is completely broken and then they all go on christmas vacation instead of fixing it.
i have 4 hours today even when doing perfectly and it shows the actual quest being there is still bugged …
If you got it on 1 char go to that char go to vendor buy it warband / mail it done.
As for loot bug i am not 100% sure whats going on, something about not directly looting it when it drops to bypass it fixes it i think, but i cannot tell it did not bug for me at all i got lucky.
its a reward from the world quest event you dont loot it.
Think we will just have to wait until over the holidays.
bug is old enough blizzard could have fixed it easily before the christmas break but chose not to.
I’m the world of software change control, there’s a well-known principle known as “no deploy Friday”. Basically, you do not push a big change to a live product when you know people won’t be around to fix things if something breaks.
This was worse because it was no ordinary Friday. They patched in an unplanned change to a major aspect of brand-new content on a Friday right before the Christmas holiday. That’s a noob mistake, and I hope someone has learned a lesson.
Really, releasing 11.0.7 so close to the holiday was, frankly, stupid. We players know how buggy new WoW content is. How many of us are surprised this has happened? Exactly. So how is it the devs didn’t see it coming?

We have change freeze for the last 2 week. This should be a no brainer for every company. I’m pretty sure they are doing this on purpose at this point…

Buy the gem with your main, put it in warbank or send to alt via mail. win.
You dont have to farm them again on an alt. Since you are talking about alts here. Very easy solution.
That gem is not at vendor.

This is what surprised me so much.
They pushed an event in Warcraft rumble yesterday at 7 pm local time.
It had a big and obvious bug.
It didn’t break the game In fact it made it easier. And more fun.
They fixed that in about 5 hours on Christmas Eve.

I’m just farming the bosses for iron and it’s a massive pain in the farter watching folk mess about trying to exploit the bug .

Only 3 of them are available from a vendor right a away. The others you need to loot first before they are available for purchase and since Fathomdweller is bugged, it wont be there for a lot of people.
It happens when I solo the mob too (Ret pala). Twice in a row. Third time a warrior also came to try, but we got booted out like a drunken Brit at a Spanish disco.
