Its a genuine question im not putting anyone down who have, im just thinking isnt it better to save them all up and wait a week for Season 1 to start, seems like a waste to spend them on Adventure level gear.
I guess people just like to minmax in whatever situation.
There is no cap on valor stones, so burn them as you get them imo.

But spending them asap means we will be 0.01% faster in content that drops the same currency, effectively optimizing our future farm!
I’d rather spend some of them instead of overcapping at 2k, so it just makes sense to upgrade the gear^^
Up to you. I spend them to get my ilevel up so delves and outdoor stuff isn’t such a pain. I haven’t spent any crests, though.
That’s exactly what they were designed for.
It costs 30 weathered crests to craft a 590 gear but 45 to upgrade an adventurer item to 590. So by crafting it you’re saving 15, and later you can still upgrade the adventure item to 590 for only valorstones since you have a higher ilvl item for that slot.
Yes, this is kind of min-maxing. You can do the same by buying the head, chest, shoulder renown epics which are 584 if you don’t like the stats.
I’ve used some on good slots like 2h and the Veteran chest.
I’m confident I won’t need the extra ilevels so it isn’t worth it for me. I’ve just been levelling my army.
Wowhead claims Bountiful Delves drop Champion gear and world bosses also drop it. So I’m waiting for that.
wouldnt be surprised if delves are quite capped from ilvl no matter how good you are (or take forever)

I’m only upgrading to avoid overcapping stones, there is absolutely zero reason at the moment to have ilvl higher than 571, with content all locked and everything being easy.
It will be capped as there is a limited amount of Bountiful Delves and it requires a key (which is also limited) to open the chest at the end.
I’ll head to the keys eventually. I’m hoping to skip m0 though.

But we all saved keys from several weeks, so you can run maybe 12 as soon as the season starts, but i highly doubt i can finish a lvl 10 delve in ilvl 580
i mean we will be hard capped by itemlevel, i am very sure.
you might have to use your keys to get mid ilvl first before you can approach the higher tiers
Wowhead says level 7 Bountiful drops 597 Champion gear.
I currently have no keys. I think once you do a Bountiful one it stops being Bountiful. So even if you have lots of keys you’re limited by how many are Bountiful. I can’t remember for definite though.
I have been upgrading my heroic drops to 580 for now (MH/OH and trinket a bit higher), because I’ve played enough to be at the cap and I like to progress my gear even when it’s not necessary.
My first raid night is on the same day M0 and higher tier delves become available, so I want to get some M0s done quickly next week, which will be easier with better item level. The slots where I won’t get upgrades I’ll probably upgrade further as I won’t need the lowest tier crests anyway.
Using the valor stones that way is not the most efficient use of time (I could have stopped playing once I hit 2000 stones), but I did enjoy grinding out the gear. If I valued my time more, I’d not play this game in the first place!
As long as you have 2000 Valorstones for the morning of the 11th it doesn’t matter what you do now. Weathered crests are completely unnecessary to save, and carved crests will be either surplus to requirement entirely due to bountiful delves skipping to 606, or the accumulated cap of 360 will more than suffice.
These weeks you can craft 590 crafted items, upgrade 584 renown items to 606, upgrade trinkets to 593, use carved crests from renown rewards, use weathered crests, use flightstones, and downgrade carved crests.
The only thing you shouldn’t do is use your spark.
They have an ilvl on each teir already…
The 11th is over a week away (further away from now than now is from the launch), so why would you spend your resources now? Also, why would I worry about being picked for a damn M0 dungeon? Lmao, I will make my own group and/or play with friends and roflstomp them.
By all means spend all your stones if you want, and then farm them all again after M0 lmao.
