I am maybe wrong, but i feel like its bugged, i’ve first thought that issue is only on first crate i watched from youtubers video concon, but then i tried and second one in desolace where u have to die in order to farm that one. Then i realised that either i didn’t do something, or its simply bugged!
So i came to conclusion to better ask while there’s time to finish that achiev.
I basically farmed already tittle: Detective and i completed all quests from Alyx, aswell i farmed and mount, so i am not sure what else i have to do for those crates to appear if its not a bug, please if someone expirienced same issue and know what i can do to escape this strange situation, let me know, or its either a bug, as i already saw some topics without any solution. Nor there is any realistic answer from blizzard side of why that could be.
They generally don’t give gameplay hints, especially not for secret content.
But from what I’ve seen so far with similar issue threads on both regions it mostly comes down to: You didn’t trigger a specific secret criteria, misunderstood the steps to reach the content or already did it but it was somewhere else in your bags (not specific to crates).
Sure i understand, however i did everything beside this, on another account i did exactly all the same for my wife, worked like charm. Now on my its not doubt it mate, could be a possibility that there’s something stupid, but regardless quests/achievs i did all, what i guess only that could be a thing is level as i am currently 78 with my paladin, as we didn’t play till now, yeah i could only see that as a case, as none didn’t set or say any requiment, as said did all achievs, but yeah.

Since you said you already did everything once before, it’s very unlikely that you missed something. Best advice I can give is to go over it again from the start beginning with the Alyx’s call board
