It’s an MMORPG. Start Acting Like It

They’ve dumbed down the game with a one button rotation that out DPSes everyone. How can anyone who cares about the game defend this? A single key out DPSes everyone.

The next tier set is disastrous. It’s insulting. Who are these even for? Definitely not the people who cared enough to invest years into this game.

except it doesnt
otherwise everyone would use it.
it out dpses ppl that dont know their rotation or otherwise cannot perform it, its about accessibility, not dumbing down the game.

you will always be better off doing rotations urself if ur capable of it. its faster and the button isnt environmentally aware past “theres 3+ mob infront”

and if tier sets arent to ur taste, welcome to 20 years wow.
its not meant to be personal insult to u and ur ancestor

Just play gw2 if you want mmo experience. Their AH works as intended too

Wow is a lobby game now, it is also a dying game (feels empty and dead all the time… no wonder blizzard doesn’t post real numbers of real players anywhere as 80% of them are bots). In wow people don’t talk, they only open their mouth if they want to be toxic in m+. Everyone is in the hurry as there is no fun things to do that are chill and collective. Rip

Wow broken because of the content though, even AH set up in a bad way, you can’t do that in gw2 for example. Wow created a gogo mentality as there is nothing to do. Wow has horrible support, hence abusers can report you and you gonna get banned. Wow and wow players are both at fault.

You are using this forum for the wrong reasons. There are many oldies on this forum who gang up on others and assume that you behave one way or the other and talk to you based on their delusions gaslighting you.

Community is horrible and this forum is a reflection of it. I’m also not sure why all these people who live on forum defend this game so much and always attack those who say that there is something wrong with the game. Makes me wonder why they are doing it, maybe cope, maybe defending of wow addiction or something else

thats one of the biggest questions that i was keep asking for a long time and never got any answers from those people but insults and reports

I could ask the same question about the haters as well. You pay for the sub(regardless if its in-game gold or rl money) and waste your time to trash a game you despise? In Lina’s case where she is praising GW2 like the 2nd coming of Jesus…well why is she wasting her time with us “addicts” here on that super trash game called WoW. Shouldn’t she be spending and devoting her entire life for GW2?
Spending a sub to trash a game you despise…but at the same time have the gall to call others who play said game as “addicts”. It would have been ironically funny…if it wasnt so pathetically sad. :man_facepalming:

Maybe you spend and devote your entire life to WoW, but that’s not the case (nor is that healthy, but that’s a different conversation) for everyone.
As customers, they absolutely have every rights to criticize the product and the community if they feel like it. I guess you’ll just have to accept it.

I don’t have 60 thousands posts like most defenders have. I use forum as entertainment every now and then. But yeah maybe I will help some people to break their addiction to this bad game. Who knows :joy:

And sorry, but getting sub with in game gold is not the same as using irl money for it. I made lots of good very easily and don’t value it at all. But you are paying for something like 180 e per year that doesn’t even have any content. I saw people compare it to Netflix sub, but it’s cheaper and it has content :joy: I assume. I don’t watch Netflix or tv. That’s also a reason why I post on forum. What? 5 messages per day or less, sometimes none for weeks. I don’t live here, never will. But you guys write huge paragraphs everywhere. I won’t call everyone’s name though.
I also post when I can’t play, if you look it closely, I write it with my phone :stuck_out_tongue:

There is no hive mind on the forums. Each of us have their own interpretation of what WoW should play like. Sometimes forumer X and Y agree on one thing, sometimes they disagree on another. Even you and me disagree on some stuff and agree on others.

There is. I just won’t call people out as it’s “against the roolez”

While I tend to agree with this message, it also has some nuances.

In Guilds, you always have those players who hop on a new char, expect to be helped, once somewhat decent they restart this process over and over again. Help and be helped, but if this shifts into one direction…then one eventually gets tired of it.

And since it’s a game - if helping the weaker is not in any shape or form fun, why do we even play the game? Do others really have to deminish their joy just because others are weaker and need help?

In the open world (including M+/raid groups by now), there is almost no point in “helping” the weaker, unless you add them as friend you most likely won’t see them again. This point is actually quite destructive for an MMORPG.

And so forth…

Don’t tell others who to play the game? This is 100% a you-issue.

Yeah, in both directions…

“Gatekeep” is such an over-used word. In the context of M+: play the roles which are in higher demand and nobody gatekeeps you. Nobody is gatekeeping the DPS players other than the fact that there are like 50 DPS players to one tank/healer combination. That means that 47 players will have to look elsewhere for a group.

Ah yes. Typical, if you have a lot of forum posts then 99% of them were done to write WoW praises or defenses?

And people are allowed to spend money on whatever freaking they wish. I for example dont favor iphone, but there are people who go nuts over it and are willing to dish out $$$ for the latest and flagship model.
And? Do I go and “hahaha u stuped, u waste money on stuped phone!” on them? No. I do not. Their wallet, they can spend it on whatever they please.

Indeed. Guess we can’t expect much from you WeW sUX u bad haha LOOL guys :person_shrugging:

So do I. Where you do you think I got most of my posts? By spending time while there is nothing else to do on my shift(on-call type of work. Sometimes you sit in your office doing nothing, other times you just want to throw your work phone out of the window when it cant shut up with its ringing).

I tend to disagree. I have been called “white knight” more times than I care to count for not jumping on whatever people are hating on Blizzard at the time bandwagon…

They can critize whatever they want but some are outright hating it down to the core.
If the game is so horrible and disastrous then why are you sticking with to begin with it? What keeps them chained to their self proclaimed “worst game ever”?
Can’t let go? Aight then who are the addicts then?

Accessibility would be making rotations somewhat less complex because at this point even high-end players need guides to figure out their rotation.

“Here’s one button, just hammer this one” is IMO dumbing down, it might even be insulting to people who have trouble with the current rotation, by turning the game into one of those “Just keep tapping to win” mobile games.

i agree that would also be a good step towards accessibility but hell is on earth the day abilities get removed in wow community, you cannot please everyone and this was a safer option

reduction to mobile game is big stretch, wow has so much more going on outside of its “core rotation”. environments, cc, defensive and offensive cooldown.

To be fully honest, this is exactly what people have been saying since the end of wrath. And by “exactly” i mean “by-the-word”. It will not change, and I found the classic servers to be the “home” I was used to and looking for. Retail is toxic, and probably will always be toxic.

To be honest, I don’t understand why that affects you this much. I know it’s your favourite game but come on.
If you want my opinion, I think it comes from a place of love. Yeah, we love the game and want to see it stay as great as it once was. Be sure I and many others will raise our voice to be listened and understood as a community if we find something is wrong. Feedback is important.
