It only took me 3 attempts to do affliction warlock mage tower challenge and this is how

hello ( first i want to say that i did it with pvp gear with medalion trinket and maledict trinkets which i didn’t even use so you don’t need to spend 2 million gold buying sockets and hours of farming old gear ) as you guys might know i already completed destruction warlock challenge two days ago so welcome to my another guide for mage tower ( this time for affliction warlock ) it only took me 3 attempts to find out this mechanic that makes it impossible to fail the challenge if you follow the steps. as person who plays warlock for over 15 years and has 4 warlock 5th on the way (leveling) i really want every warlock to have this new transmog set because it really looks bada*s so if you have free time i promise watch this guide and you will complete it in maximum of 5-10 attempts if you haven’t tried it before, but if you’re similar with tactics it might even take you 1-2 attempts (i’m explaining tactics & the mechanic that makes it impossible to fail challenge [P.S ITS NOT A BUG OR ANYTHING I JUST BROUGHT PVP SKILLS INTO PVE]

tl:dr that youtube link explains everything detailed and if youre lazy enough to not watch 20 minute 100% guaranteed free completion of challenge then keep trying for hours

3 tries? your either an exceptional player or the ballance of the challanges are abit skew im on 210 tries with the guardian druid since wednesday. phase 1 super easy, phase 2, bollocks.

if you watch the video and repeat same on boomy you can also do it it might be slow but you will 100% drop the boss if you will be patient and not greedy for extra 1% dmg

Nice video, but the voice could be a bit higher, I had to use Youtube Autotranslate to read lol. But TY very much, don’t know if you discovered this method but it certainly makes things easier.

yeah sorry about the low volume it was about 5-6 am when i recorded it :smiley: i was bored yesterday and i discovered it on 2nd attempt so on 3rd i killed it also i killed it 4 times today so good luck also keep in mind if u summon dark glare and u go on max range from boss if darkglare dies boss resets so keep boss on you if you pop darkglare

Can you make a Video for demo? I struggle with the 6 min enrage time… I’m not doing enough dps, just around 650-700. I guess I need 850-900… so 200 more.

i tried demo only 2-3 times tbh and it seems kinda hard and im mainly playing pvp so if i find time to farm demo i will but if you really want set and not to just complete challenge as demo you can do it as affi with this guide it may take you 15-18 mins to kill boss but theres literally no way to fail the challenge unless you be greedy with damage and not dodge the adds that follow you around

I’m also mainly doing pvp, I think with the right m+ gear I would beat that timer easily.

I’m a bit confused about how u want to obtain the set, first I want it, second I want to beat those 6 mins.

But maybe I will try this the next time I will do mage tower. But if my dmg is to low and karam is getting faster in doing something wrong then or?

Because most of the time I get killed by him.

first 2 phases just focus down karam & hands and in last 3rd phase use full burst on karam make sure it dies fast so then its only you boss & adds and u have to soak with pet about gear i used pvp gear with medalion and maledict that i didnt even use in action so you dont really need crazy gear

I will try it, maybe I just need to know how to use my cds at the right time for karam.

Then just survive with out of range.

You can try these:

  • using burst in 3rd phase (Karam is chasing you for third time, becomes killable)
  • obtaining some old gear with good secondary stats (+Speed, Haste, possibly Socket) and abusing noob-friendly enchants (like Hidden Satyr, if your neck is low enough ilvl)
  • buying consumables like drums, poiton (macro em together), rune and flask… possibly even weapon oil and food… (those get expensive, my advice is, that you try first to make it into last phase without it, so you don’t waste them… might take some time before you get there comfortably and you might get frustrated along the way, but eventually you’ll stop dying to avoidable stuff and it becomes routine)
  • farm some good trinkets… you can join LFR from Dalaran NPC (buy also bonus roll thingy) and first boss in Antorus drops great trinket (I didnt sim it, but it procs often for a dot class, does decent damage and feels strong)
  • try to get a lot of haste

BTW you can buy old gear for nethershards near Mage Tower. Dauntless items.

I got the set thanks to the information from Bualock.
Tho I’d say video could’ve been much shorter. Like 5 mins :smiley:
