I would have liked to write about this too, the class in addition to badly needing a rework in the warlock tree and capstone, is honestly incredible as compared to absolutely bland raid data for all three specs (let’s remember that the warlock has 3 specs DPS… not a tank, a healer and a DPS…).
I would have expected a minimal buff. Or at least some very important bug fixes, such as the one for the regeneration of the soul leech from Demonology. Apparently we also have to be grateful that there are no nerfs, let’s be ironic about it.
The only thing that gives me hype is the Eternal Nemesis set, I started playing many years ago and I created my main warlock years ago after seeing one of his guild warlocks with the complete Nemesis set from a friend… fantastic
Make our class tree more accessible and give us strong capstone ability and move soul conduit further up or replace it.
And…I will die on this hill, make Spell Lock Warlock based and make our core demons more impactful so I can use my Imp for dispels, return the knock back to the Succubus/Incubus, etc.
Its comical the only change we are getting is a destro nerf in terms of spamming RoF for Diabolist procs.

Frost dk getting buffed,rogues,moonkins too,hunter bm getting reworked but warlocks get nothing.What a disgusting behaviour from this clown company,jesus christ.A pure dps class that sims less than a shadow priest.What a time to be playing warlock,no wonder the m+ scene is completely dry as if we were playing Dragonflight S4.Insane,just insane.Insane to be working for 1 month and coming up with these “ideas”.
It kinda snows many things.
First, mentioned classes that get the rework in the very first patch clearly indicates that class team dropped the balls during beta and did nothing to make classes good for the release.
Second the lack of changes for warlocks, and I mean meaningful changes speaks volumes about the people who is in charge of warlocks. These people earn money for doing literally nothing, warlock as class is pestered with bugs, and game breaking bugs. Bad talent choices, non excitant balance of some talent branches - hello felguard talents at the bottom right corner.

Every other class has at least one spec/Hero talent which perform better in raiding than any of the warlock spec’s , while we’re having 3 DPS spec’s.
…what do we get? A useless destro nerf.
Just give us a tank spec if you don’t want us to do damage, maybe we’ll get group invites with this one.
Do you understand that if they give us tank spec, we will be the worst tank spec ever because we will get the same crappy treatment…
It is not a matter of who we are DPS or Tanks, it is a bad attitude of Blizzard towards Warlocks as a Class.
It would just be nice to get some sort of attention like Mages and Shaman’s.
Hell, give destro some instant casts like ruination procs for Soulfire instead of reduced cast time. Ritual of Ruin gives instant chaos bolt that spawns overfiend (which should go back to Purple infernal, my opinion).
Probably you’re right. But at least I’ll have the choice to choose between poor dmg and poor tanking.
It would be a choice on what role you’ll be benched. It is not a choice at all.
I can’t believe people hyped up warlock especially aff before TWW release
Aff is rly good(playstyle) maybe do some %dmg tweaks and i would be more than happy.

I absolutely don’t understand many DEV choices, because it’s true that if a class doesn’t do well in PvP peoples always say “the blizzard never balances in PvP and relies much more on PvE data”, but looking at the data and logs I It’s truly incredible how there isn’t a single buff to even one spec
It’s something I can’t understand. The chaos bolt to be in line with old expansions should make around 2 million and more considering the current health pools
I don’t understand the reason for halving the cast time, for 1.2 milion damage. The ritual is activated after 20/15 shards, in PvP it is an enormity. I also think that the purple blashemy was much better, plus it comes directly from the two talents of the infernal.
Soulfire itself is a mystery, not being a guaranteed crit, it hits for 800k. Would the game have broken if it had been instant?
Personally I think Warlocks should be more than just damage dealers. More a hybrid role.
We should be able to
Buff the team
Some form of Lust
Drain life could heal team members (through a talent)
More mob controls
Generating soul shards store up a shield that when pressed gets pushed/split between all team members.

You’re preaching to the choir here. Our mobility requires you to be psychic as well. Demonic Circle…let us be able to pinpoint plant it like gateway and have two charges.
Overfiend looks cool but the purple infernal looked cool and pulse aoe whilst doing physical damage so you knew damage was being spread not just on your prio target.
