It's high time to nerf melee uptime

Not gonna happen brother - Mythic+ is the answer :upside_down_face:

For me shadow is in a rly odd position
It can perform pretty well with his tools and abilitys and close kills with damage

But the pain you go true too set something up and do damage
Most lobbys you have a meele interrupt and a range kick too go true, reflect and a magic immunity, grounding and dispells, spam stuns and disorients too interrupt you
On top of that your teammates can remove your dots or clone a target you wont too burst on
So much can ruin your day

I am all for removeing some melee uptime, as long as we also look at casters’ instant casts.

Cause let’s be honest, while it feels awful as a caster that melees have 95% uptime on you, if we look at the leaderboards there are plenty of both melee AND casters.

PvP feels like a PvE fiesta, but IMO the solution is, that we:

  1. Make casters cast again
  2. Remove some gap closers from melees
  3. Remove all this Micro CC
  4. Buff meaningful CC
  5. Buff healers

Then we would need actual setup to kill, but the game isn’t a big faceroll PvE brawl. Melees can be kited if they don’t use their gap-closers wisely, but casters also gotta cast to deal dmg. Thoughts?

Now add into the mix that you actually have to cast as well and are not as mobile. GG now you are a SP. No instant cast voidform in pvp anymore is so dumb.
wait lets just fake cast hopefully get precog ow look im about to burst everybody !! after 5 secs (hopefully)
when they nerfed survivability in DF i facepalmed.
If you had 2 melee mindlessly zug zug you and DR everything on you ignoring your healer.
You could just Catharsis, VT, insta voidform and freaking wail on them.
Havent played SP in TWW(because of the changes) but seems like the days of punishing mindless zug zug in Solo- schuffle are over.

the passive pets from the dk, also using chains of ice, so he dont even press a button sometimes

This literally happened in a lobby:

Warrior goes mage.

Mage blinks away.

Warrior gets on top of him.

I grip mage.

Warrior is somehow on top of the mage again.

Shadow priest grips mage.

The warrior is STILL ON TOP OF THE MAGE.

WHAT.

Seriously, it’s time to just nerf this into the ground. It’s beyond ridiculous. The mage blinks and gets gripped twice to different positions in the arena and the warrior just stays on top of him.

This shouldn’t be possible under any circumstances. Nerf melee uptime.

melees are so absurd in tww we all knew it was coming

what about deva 90% slow or the chains of ice from dk, or the multiple roots/ from so many classes + knock effects

idk if u ask me, the game is out of controll, and got worse with tww

it’s like having a room that hasn’t been cleaned for 7 months, you don’t know where to start because there is a mess everywhere

imagine m+ mobs cant be kicked with just incap/knock cc, because blizz make them immune to nerf godcomps who can cc them for an infinite amount of time.

there we go, even in m+ is too much micro cc, that blizz made a change because of it

dev evoker is like the only caster that can play the game without a rogue peeling all game.

mage also can play without a rogue
