LFR groups and +0 groups are somehow always people who came back after a 5000 year break and don’t bother reading even the slightest about tactics. (No possibility to do easy content for gear because people are lazy morons expecting to be carried)
People kick you or leave if you don’t do 50k+ dps (so sorry for my 420 alt not being able to do that wow thanks)
Opening my own groups? Sure. It’s totally fun having no one joining you for seeing your low rio and low ilvl on that alt. TOTES.
Find a guild? Sure. I bet guilds are starving for low ilvl chars.
The only option is to literally buy boosts until you’re 470+ i can clearly see why the business of boosts is booming because the game is literally unplayable for low ilvl dps. I’ve wasted easily 20h trying to raise my dps alt chars ilvl and it was simply not possible.
Blizzard NEEDS to stop punishing players for being low ilvl. Something needs to be implemented. How about rewards for groups who take people with lower ilvl? It could be that simple but no. I highly doubt any of devs actually play this game because it hasn’t even arrived in 2010 yet.
And how exactly they are punishing you ? Its a player made issue. Blizzard is NOT holding a gun at player’s heads and forcing us to decline you, kick you from parties and etc.
What do you want Blizzard to do? Force people to give you a free +15M boost? Force raiding guilds to give you a free HC/mythic full clear boost?
There is a reward for players who invest in lower players, you make friends and watch them grow with content and complete it together.
The problem is you are pugging and expecting these players to be empathetic, it’s not going to happen, even in guilds or more committed groups you still have to put up with turds who only acknowledge their own progression.
Blizzard has done enough imo, you are not punished for being low ilvl, there is progression available and compared to any previous expansion it’s already much easier even for low skilled individuals, just requires some dedication in the right areas.
This alt was made 2 months ago.
I had fun gearing him, I got benthic gear and brought some 400 ilvl items of AH for quite cheap I may add when I reached 120 to start off and then geared through heroics, regular mythics into mythic +.
Majority of my runs have been my key, elimated any m+ competition for getting a spot for dps also if anyone would be annoyed at my dps, least I’m providing the key.
It can be done, it’s not impossible.
I think you got declined for low keys or M0s, you got angry and made this post.
It’s not impossible… For M0 it takes no time to make your own group and anyone who looks at your rio for M0 is a moron so you don’t want them in your group anyway, and once you got the M0 done, you do your key. It doesn’t matter if it gets depleted at any point because at this point any kind of gear from low keys will be an upgrade. You should be wanting to just get as many keys done as possible. That way you get gear most likely and build rio.
Btw I leveled up my ele shaman 3 weeks ago and second week I got her up to 448 without breaking a sweat. Just by doing your legendary cloak you get a guaranteed 440 wrist, the cloak and an azerite piece plus the assault reward, and world boss etc… there are SO MANY THINGS YOU CAN DO without help really!
Once you actually reach 460 that’s where you might need a guild or a community to get into raids or high keys. But until then it’s easy.
Here is the problem. You expect empathy from higher ilvl players to carry you with your (currently) low dps but you don’t give any to the players that are in those LFR and +0 groups. Those high ilvl players are rejecting you for exact same reason you are rejecting those other people in lower groups. Ofc it’s not nice and it’s not ideal situation, but it’s not Blizzards fault but fault of the culture that you are also part of.
I would follow Ãnnas advice and join a community. There is so many nice people who help eachothers out on situations like this and the culture is friendlier and nicer than in your ordinary pugging scene.
I came back to wow 8.3, 1 month late into the patch after years of not playing endgame. I lead my own heroic ny’alotha group at 430ilvl and got curve+gear and went on from there.
Dude, I don’t know wtf you are doing when you try get better gear, but I recently rerolled a boomy and I can give you some advice:
1: Do visions
2: Emissarys
3: Join a community
4: Join a guild
5: Heroic warfront
6: Assaults
7: LFR
8: Make your own keys
9: Make your own M+0’s
10: Weekly quest (Timewalking and Mythics)
This is what I did and now my boomy (not a meta class btw) is at 470 equipped ilvl and 2100+ rio.
Back in the day we had systems in WoW called “friends” or “guilds”. It was totally crazy, you would ask those people to help you run dungeons and stuff on your new characters…and they would simply help you! Or send along their own new characters.
It’s really amazing what crazy stuff players expected to work 15 years ago!
I can sympathize, OP. That is the majority of the reasons why I play alts very rarely. Players don’t want to do content with players for which that content is realistically tuned, they want a “smooth run”, which has always translated to - I want to get carried and just pick up loot. On rare occasions when I could be bothered to persevere and keep filling my own group, dungeons/heroic raids were just as piss, although mobs had to take some extra hits to die.
But as some people above me already stated, it’s sadly actually a player made issue. It’s just what’s embedded into humans psyche. Hopefully with TF gone in Shadowlands there won’t be any inflated ilvls on low level chars that make people ask for obscenely high item level to do basic content, they should be more in control how they used to be pre-Legion.
You don’t. You want a non-stressful job that requires next to 0 responsibility. You need to make sure you realise you’re one of a billion, and extremely replaceable.
There’s a lack of Healers and Tanks, and players like yourself are the reason. So you’ll always have this problem.
