I highly doubt it had more players than in vanilla as for TBC I don’t really know since I skipped it. WOTLK has a lot of private server players that completely ruined the game. Even PvPers quit WOTLK. The ladder is filled with hpala/warr scripters from private servers. Also according to logs your information doesn’t seem accurate. Never seen the servers I played with such low pop (Firemaw and Gehannas). I recall in TBC when I was leveling my warlock to get it ready for WOTLK there used to be queues all the time and in WOTLK queues are long gone. Even Firemaw hasn’t been full in a long time. Even if Cata loses that much population I don’t care. Most players in WOTLK only run GDKPs anyways. 3s arena is dead pretty much since launch, 2s is a terrible experience and even BGs are filled with bots or players afk. Yea people are really enjoying WOTLK lol
This part makes no sense. It seems you are trying to lie here. There are many things you forgot and failed to understand.
- You que for what? There was no RDF.
- TBC was dead at the end in case you did not know. People has started playing before Wotlk pre-patch and A LOT more during Wotlk pre-patch.
- “and in WOTLK queues are long gone.” … you comparing the end of Wotlk with the start of Wotlk. You realise that?
Well at the end of TBC there was more activity.
On mirage raceway there where lots of pugs going on at the end. Even the dedicated discord had at least 10+ events.
Now instead that discord is a barren wasteland. With just 2-3 pugs forming during a reset and 0 chance to run TOC,Uld and naxx for achi.
Dude I don’ t know what you on about. You trying to call me a liar while not even knowing what I mean. Queue for what? For how long have you been playing wow? Queues to log in cause servers were full. At the end of expansions its normal for servers to die out its been like this since forever. And I am not comparing anything, I didn’t just start playing WOTLK I don’t know why you assume that. I quit WOTLK 2 weeks after ICC came out.
You can however argument that people moved away from those 2 overpopulated servers and to that I cannot argument since as I told you I only played a bit in TBC to level my warlock.
its about login queues, when the server is full you had to wait to be able to login to your realm. some of those megarealms had long queues on main raid days, which was not the case lately, but was common in previous expansions.
Did you read what I said? TBC was dead at the end. People started playing more because Blizzard announced Wotlk pre-patch. Same will happen with Wotlk at the end. People will come back and play before Cata pre-patch, and probably a lot more during Cata pre-patch.
Yes I can read and what you are saying is actually incorrect, wotlk for me has been a worse experience than wotlk.
It did not meet the hype expectations.
Yes it was. Leaving Wotlk untouched would have been best decision. They ruined with stupid decisions. And to make it worse, they made it run on retail engine.
No the expansion was not just enjoyed as whole.
Even us a guild we never struggled with sign ups, instead now we don’t even manage to get 25 people to raid, today we have to go as 19.
Even last reset during our LK progress on Hc a few people decided to leave during mid raid because it was no enjoyable for them.
There is less repleyability compared to TBC or Wotlk
I would never thought that someone will get so low on using realm “queues” as “praising” of TBC. That’s because you have nothing to say.
When someone is as bad as you and your guild its just normal for people to leave
Sorry I don’t speak cringe. Can you speak English?
I imagine the amount of people microsoft got rid of has slowed down progress on Cata dev. quite a bit which is one of the reasons we haven’t heard much at all yet.
Secondly I think a lot of the more experienced “publicity/community manager” people seem to have been laid off or quit too as some of their latest announcements have also been extremely short notice, which you’d understand from an indie dev or someone new to running an MMO-type game, not with a company running one of the bigger ones for two decades…
