It's not looking good

Why are so many senior devs leaving right before new expansion?

One is a server engineer and, while the other 2 are devs, they’re not senior devs. People change jobs, get offered more money, a different path, a different place. After you’ve finished an expansion seems (to me) a good time to change.

I don’t feel that 3 devs leaving will make such a huge impact on the whole thing. It’s the circle of life, especially in big companies like Activison Blizzard. People leave / enter such big systems daily, and in such a big corporation, everyone is replacable in a few days.

I wouldn’t worry.

Did either of them worked on priest/druid talents? It definetly looks like zhey did.

The third one was the one working on the druid tree

Sad to see the first and third person on your list go.

I’m not sure I’m sad about the last person as I happened to read this “P.S. My personal favorite ability that I made was Convoke the Spirits.”

Also, the first guy “ Some of favorite things I got to work on!” “Torghast” “I hope I helped make some of your favorite memories” :grimacing:

prolly tired of helping create garbage

… yeah, but the new talent trees are great.

Some additions are good and some bad, mistakes are made.

But yes, I agree that Convoke is an awful ability. No idea what she was thinking.

As for Torghast, I actually like it. What I don’t like is the reward system around it - the problem is Soul Ash and derivatives and the way they’re acquired and the limits that put on difficulty. But when I’m actually inside Torghast and removed from thinking about the context of why I’m in Torghast and presented with an appropriate challenge it’s actually reasonably fun.

I like the talent trees purely from playing with them on Wowhead, yet to see them in practice. Saying CoTS is their favorite creation makes me think they’re kind of clueless. I’ll never forget SL S1 having rbg teams with about 4 boomkins convoking at the same time, on feral I jumped e.g. a resto shaman and one-shotted them, game over. How can anyone think a rng spell that instantly casts a bunch of spells, sometimes a bunch of starsurges or bites, is good is beyond me. It got nerfed but it’s about the last ability I wanna see in this game because with this kind of a spell you’re not really playing the game. And it’s been kept in the DF tree.
Sorry for rant.

Re: Torghast… Eeach to their own I guess, I very strongly dislike it, especially the tuning at launch and knowing we’re supposed to run this for who knows how long every week.

I kind of like the Gauntlet as I prefer it to fighting trash, but it’s still the kind of content I don’t wanna see as mandatory.

Game developers come and go all the time in the entire industry, I wouldn’t worry about it unless it’s a proper exodus. In fact, if I remember correctly, Blizzard is well above the standard when it comes to retaining devs.

Don’t you think it’s time to lose some weight?

People change jobs all the time and no one bats an eye, a Blizzard dev does it and people think “it’s not looking good”. You could also see it as them making room for someone even better, so maybe it IS looking good.

Sorry OP, but your post is kinda paranoid. There is nothing strange in few people leaving most likely for a better jobs.

most ppl hates it? source? ask 5 random ppl 4 will hate or dislike. it’s bad design, in df we will have new badly designed mini games. hype

when working for blizz too long, everything becomes a better job

Negativity in the community will never end right? The people say goodbye and move on.That’s all.

Videogame developers are always leaving one studio to join another for various reasons.

3 devs leaving the WoW and Blizzard studios does not mean your access to WoW and everything connected to Blizzard gets shut down at 00.00.01 25/8/2022.

what a silly comment, why so hyperbole
