Lol Iām in zone 1, theyāve shut down my city but my eldest work still expected them to go in and open the shop until 10am today when head office finally got the memo 
Itās not actually as bad as I was expecting, no flying roofs and I havenāt got a free trampoline yetā¦
Woke up this morning to snow, then it turned to rain now itās back to snow again.
But now yawāll kinda have an idea of what a hurricane is likeā¦

Iām oldā¦ I was a supervisor for a well known supermarket in 1987. The weatherman said āI know there are rumours of a hurricane, donāt worry, itās not trueā.
I remember waking up about 530 am to the sound of the storm and thoughtā¦ wellā¦ a lot of staff wont go inā¦ so I got dressed and went to work earlyā¦ no power so it was pitch blackā¦ stepped on a dead cat I didnt seeā¦ all the way down to the high street to get the busā¦ itās headlights literally lit up the area and the destruction was clearā¦ it got me to workā¦ we had no power and could not openā¦ I may as well have stayed home lololol. I think we opened around 1pm when power was restored.

I was stationed in the windiest part of the country while in the AF. When I got home on leave the first time we were told as we left the plane it was āstorm level windā or somesuch. People were almost bent sideways while I was thinking āWhaaat? This here is a strong breeze at most.ā

I have a longer weekend than usual this time as itās half term for schools, so I am taking a few extra days as many of my students are not around. However I am in the midst of a literature review so not all fun and games, also Uni this morningā¦pahā¦
Maybe Iāll get some painting done though!! that will ne nice.

Indeed. I wish I had been smart enough to skip school by saying āIām protesting for the environment!ā too. Didnāt just get away with it, but even praised.
