I've hit the 55 wall. Help a noobie

Hey there,
I’ve sort of hit the wall with leveling.
Im a rogue, all was fine untill 51, than I joined AV. While I was grinding the rep I did some quests, turned in all the medals of honor and did some harpy grinding which by the time I was done with the rep grind I was 54, close to 55. I did some leftover quests to 55 and at 55 I was able to take up sooo many quests my mind was boggled! Turned out I had problems soloing most of them since my gear was like 47-48ish lvl. Now im 56 and a half, did pretty much all the ‘‘gathering’’ quests because of stealth and none of the killing quests.
I know I should be doing 5 man dungeons (brd, l/ubrs) but it’s kinda hard to get into groups when you have not more than 3-4 hours of straight tied-down-to-the-chair.
I am also kinda lacking money (150-60g), nowhere near close to the 640g for the epic mount I need.
At 60 it would be easier getting into groups, but the road to 60 will be hell of a grind, by doing dungeons I will be getting gear, some xp and some money.
What should be prioritized now, questing or dungeons?

You should do dungeons from now till 60. Find some way to schedule this even though you said it’s difficult. You will easily earn 640g by spending 6-7 hours cleaning up all the quests that you left behind.

Do dungeon quests while leveling so that you make some progress on many of the dungeon chains. Use Questie.

Easy.

Yes, dungeons it is. I did only dungeons from 13-54 level and currently have 200 gold. Still, I am a healer and it is easier to find groups, but only the start is difficult, really. Once you get into some groups, you will find people that are more likely to invite you to any following runs.

Yeah as Healbot said.

I went into dungeons around 56 and starting farming pre raid bis gear and dungeon set for pvp, you get both XP and good gear for when your 60, 2 birds 1 stone.

I did a lot of BRD Arena/Anger/Golem farm runs from 55+ - these don’t take long and you can leave when you want, DPS is easily replaced and the runs are usually fast.

But if your in need of gold you could just grind the levels farming mobs that give valuable loot. I quite like Winterspring for farming there’s camp’s of Owl beasts all over the zone and they drop nice silver, greys, greens and feathers which can be vendored. They are pretty easy to take down.

Buy the devilsaur set. You should be able to equip it now i think. Adds insane stats for just 100g.

Do you have HoJ yet? No? there you go.

You should leave epl, slither and winterspring quests for 60 lvl gold farming. As horde I did burning steppes but we have like 5 quests there. As alliance you should probably leave it too. Thus you’ll stop leveling on quests at 55-56 level. After that you ll have a long and boring leveling through dungeons, which basically makes you hate bad at some point. At 57 you can easily add lbrs. On 58+ strat and scholo are fine, but as dps it’s gonna be harder getting there cause lots of 60 candidates. You are probably should stick to fraking bed and lrbs till 60.

Damn t9. Mobile forum doesn’t support long messages editing. Silithus * Brd*

Just farm you’re lvl 57 in av or with quest and mobs and take IT a little slow to prevent burn out.
Than complete all brd, lbrs, ubrs quests including the atunements for ony and MC.
Than you’re lvl 60before you notis. Because its verry good exp and you are foccusing on something else than you’re xp bar.
Hope this helps a little. Goodluck!

I farmed golden pearls in azhara on the beach the last 3 levels. Mobs are like 51-52 and super fast to kill as a feral, also enough mobs to have respawns before killing all of them. Got 5 pearls from 57-60 thats 200-250gold on my realm.

Farm.

Farm until your vision doubles, and your eyes drop from your sockets.

Farm and farm and farm, never stopping, never sleeping. Keep on farming. Day in, day out, night in, night out.

Farm until your heart breaks and your hands can no longer grip the mouse, until you hallucinate from lack of sleep, and grow weak from lack of food and water… and then when you reach that stage, farm some more.

Never ceasing, never slowing. No distractions, no days off.

There’s no part time for farming. Full time, all time, every time.

LIve to farm, farm to live. Eat, think, breath farming.

So, my advice - go farm. Farming, farming, farming.

Find a mob that drops a valuable item for crafting. Not one that is very expensive as it will be farmed. And don’t bother with items that have a 0.01% drop. Instead look for something that has a decent value on ah and mobs that drop it and some other items like cloth etc. Find a secluded spot and just stab everything that moves. It’s boring but it’s a good way to make some gold for your mount and you will level with about the same speed as questing.

Epic mount + riding skill = 1000g. Since I assume you’re at least honored with your faction it will be 900g. Since you have done a lot of BG I also assume you have at least rank 3 PVP so that will be 800g. Where can you subtract the last 160g? Or do you plan to buy a mount and not be able to ride it?

grind brd.

Exalted with AV mount.

This is it.

It doesn’t really matter where you are or what you’re doing, aslong as you’re playing the game.

Levelling in this game is really straight forward. Depending on the time you have to play; make an achievable goal to progress toward. Then do it as efficiently as you can. It’s fun and easy:p

Edit: I think an issue can be looking too far ahead. It’s alot of hours so it’s best to look short term.

If you play you level, there is no magic potion to hit 60.

Do you want to get your pre-bis, mr. Rogue? Ok, forget about it. You’ve picked wrong class.
